Trick or Treat Tuesday

Confession…I am kind of a diet junkie.
I love to eat yummy food…
but the food shares the love back in areas I don’t appreciate.

I know that with exercise and self control…
weight management is very doable!
But sometimes you see these diet gimmicks and you just wonder…
would it really work?  So many commenters say it did for them.

The other day I was surfing the web, and I came across
this diet called the 3 Day Marine Diet.
It claims you can lose up to 10 pounds just by following the diet exactly.
Now of course you still have to exercise and drink your water
to actually see results…but I figured that.

So, I start reading over the meal plan
and low and behold you get ice cream for dinner all 3 days.
I’m sold!!!  A diet where I can eat ice cream?  It’s my dream diet:-)

So, I am giving it the 3 day test…kind of like a research project.
I’ll update you next week on whether it really does work:-)
Day 1 is over and all I have eaten is what is on the list…
this is super tough because right now I am starving!!!!
It is all I can do to not run to the kitchen and dig into the Biscoff jar:-)
But it’s only 3 days…surely I can hold out for that long!!!

Let me tell you what was tough…
looking through last week’s party!!!
You all post the yummiest recipes and funnest projects…
the recipes killed me tonight though!!!

Made my stomach start crying out for some sort of midnight snack…
I resisted and only drank more water.
Let’s just say I am very tired of seeing my bathroom already:-)

On that note let’s show off you guys!!!

Ugh, I should diet more often. I don’t think I could do the hot dog or grapefruit but everything else seems reasonable. Let us know how it goes! Thanks for hosting and thanks for featuring my school supply cake. :)

    Thanks for hosting Jocelyn
Good luck with your diet, although I don’t really believe in it.
With these kinds of diet people usually gain the weight back and fast.

Hi Jocelyn! Thank you so much for hosting this party! Were you happy with the results of the 3 day diet? I can’t look at cookbooks or recipes at all when I am trying to cut back because it just makes me hungry! Angie xo

I’m a total gimmick person too (surprised?). I also am that way about workout videos and equipment. By the way, you are gorgeous and thin and don’t need a diet. Just sayin…

Oh, wow! I cant believe my little like was the most clicked on last week! Thanks so much for hosting such a yummy party every week – and I can hardly wait to hear more about this 3 day diet – it sounds very interesting…I just made some strawberry ice cream last night so maybe I should give it a try 😉

I am curious to hear about how this diet thingy goes! I’m kind of a bad dieter in that I get super motivated to do diets, get all the necessary food and get the workouts all printed up and ready, do it for MAAAAYBE one day, and then I’m done. Or I accidentally cheat and forget a workout or eat something “bad” and think, “I’ll make up for it tomorrow” and don’t. Ugh! Why can’t we just magically never gain weight like boys do? I swear, my boyfriend could eat a Chipotle burrito every day and LOSE five pounds whereas I just think about Chipotle and gain 10. Rrrrrrr. Good luck!!

I am so the same way with diets…very into the first day or two, then I get discouraged…or hungry and I cheat on the diet:-) My hubby is the same way with weight…gggrrrr is right!!!

Okay, I am really curious to see how you do on that diet. If you lose 10 lbs in 3 days I am TOTALLY doing it! I linked up my Banana Split Ice Cream sandwich cake today :) Maybe you could eat it on the diet since ice creams allowed!! HOLLA!! :)

Jocelyn, that diet sounds interesting! I hope it goes well. I try to eat healthy 80% of the time and I love to run! It’s hard to stay healthy with a dessert blog, that’s for sure! THANK YOU for hosting!

Sally, I used to do so much better…then I started blogging about crazy desserts and it has gone down hill from there. But I love what I do, so I have started running too to help a little bit:-)
