Trick or Treat Tuesday

After last week’s crazy heat wave that kept us above 100* for a few days,
yesterday’s high of 88* was like a cold front coming in.
It was actually enjoyable to go to the pool with the kids
and not be one giant sweat ball!!!
Sorry for that mental picture:-)
In other news, I finally joined TWITTER.
How many of you are tweeters too???
Please come on over and help me out…
I have no clue what I am doing there.
So any tips on how to utilize it would be greatly appreciated.
Like how do I get the condensed links and all that jazz…
Or you can just follow me there,
so that you can see the same stuff that I share on Facebook and Instagram :-)
I’m kinda confused on why I need twitter too,
since so far I just see the same things over and over and over.
If someone can tell me the benefit…I would be so happy!
Until then I guess I just learn how to be a tweeter:-)
Let’s get on with the party huh?
Since it is the middle of summer and most of us
are battling high temps,
I thought some refreshing drinks and ice cream would be the perfect
thing to show off this week.
Apparently you thought so too…
check out this fun drink that had the most views last week:-)
KOOL AID SLURPEES  from Echoes of Laughter
Let’s give our FAB 5 a big round of applause…
or just go visit them and leave a great comment.
I think they would enjoy that:-)

Searching for Dessert had me with her BERRY FROZEN CUSTARD.
And it is so pretty too…yum!!!

Looking for a great iced tea?
Cheerios and Lattes shared a fun
CHICK-FIL-A COPYCAT SWEET TEA!
They really do have some good tea, so I can’t wait to try this out!!!

PINEAPPLE CHERRY ICE CREAM from Cheese in my Macaroni
would be the perfect ending to a meal on a hot summer day.
Love this flavor combo!!!!
Doesn’t this bright green KIWI LEMONADE
from The Midwestern Girl sound great?
I want a huge pitcher for our next 100* day here:-)
all my favorite things in one yummy looking cupcake.
Pint Sized Baker has a winner for sure here!!!

Are you ready to get your party on???

Link up CRAFTSPROJECTS, and of course RECIPES!!!!
I can’t wait to check it all out!!!
Just remember:
No etsy shops or giveaways.
And a link back is always appreciated…but not necessary:-)
You can grab the button under the button tab or use a text link.
***AND DON’T FORGET TO VISIT SOME OTHER LINKS!!!***
Share lots of comment love:-)
Thank you so much for making this party such fun!
I couldn’t do it without your help.

Thanks for hosting Jocelyn! Know that you are not alone! Twitter confuses the tuna salad out of me! I just don’t get it. I try, but then decide to go to something more familiar, like Pinterest! When you figure it out, let me know…. please!

Thanks for hosting girl. I know what you mean by a cold front, I actually went outside yesterday morning and sat on my back porch swing with coffee and watched birds, WITHOUT sweating! (and yes, I’m a senior citizen)

Anyways, the benefits of twitter, from what I can tell, is it’s almost like you are able to text people and chat. A little more social than facebook and instagram. For instance, when I was working on my blog design, I immediately “tweeted” Dorothy and Ashton for help! And they helped immediately (cause they are awesome!!!!)

Thanks for hosting, Jocelyn! I’m on Twitter, but I still haven’t figured it out! My posts from FB automatically post to Twitter … I check it once in awhile – but it seems the same people talk to the same people and I can’t follow what’s going on … so I generally don’t bother :/

Mostly, I think twitter is super dumb. But, for whatever reason, some people really do use it– and it’s just another way to reach a broader audience. One thing that I DO like about it is that if you’re tweeting someone with a smartphone and they’re on twitter, you can basically send them a text message through tweeting. Like one time Aimee had design questions, and she and I just tweeted back and forth about stuff, and I wasn’t even at a computer! We were on a car trip and I was just using my phone! So that’s pretty neat.

I kinda agree with Ashton…and I also have never found the benefit of twitter. And ditto on the text. I hardly ever check twitter on my computer; it’s always on my phone. If someone tweets me I can have a conversation with them right away. And, as I said in my email, hide from my mom and husband, lol. There are always perks! :) Thanks for the party Jocelyn!

While I didn’t see the benefits of Twitter initially, I now can see that this social networking reaches out to people that wouldn’t follow blogs in general, but rather you directly because they like your style of cooking.

Thanks for featuring my frozen custard! This is the best week I’ve had in a long time and that made it even better! :) I was completely sidetracked by the copycat sweet tea. I didn’t see it before. The link ups this week look delicious and I hope you have a great week! Oh and welcome to Twitter…I think it’s a little crazy too!

Thank you for hosting and for featuring my kiwi lemonade :) It was great for those hot days! Can’t wait to try out your slurpee! Always looking for fun and yummy drinks!

Thank you so much Jocelyn for featuring my Chocolate Coffee Ice Cream Cupcakes. Maybe if you baked your avocado ice cream into a cake I’ll eat it… maybe, if you don’t tell me…
Thanks so much for hosting. Have a great week!

Ahhhh, the great mystery of Twitter – still trying to figure it out myself. At least you can tell all of your followers the same thing without being charged a dime (like FB is trying to do) :)

Hey, Jocelyn! I’m very embarrassed to admit that I thought this party was just for food talent {which I do not have}! I would of partied with you a long time ago! Definitely had a major “DUH” moment. I’ve added you to my link parties list and will be coming back! Thanks for hosting!! :)
