Trick or Treat Tuesday

We had a great Thanksgiving this past week.  Lots of food and time with family made for a great day.  Although I must admit I ate way too much food.  That isn’t anything new though.  You are used to me confessing to that right?

Today my hubby and I decided to do something about the weight gain.  We bought Insanity about a week ago and did Day 1 today.  After 3 months of not a whole lot of working out, I can honestly tell you I thought I was going to die!  Die I tell you!  And Day 1 is only the Fit Test.  Yup, not fit here.  I did the best I could, but sheesh!  It’s tough!!!

A few things I think might make it a little easier.  1. Eat a few hours before…you need energy to get through it.  2. Go to bed a whole lot earlier…you can’t do this on 5-6 hours of sleep.  That right there is going to be a huge changer for me because I love my quiet time at night.
We will see how the next video goes…I’m a little scared after being such a weenie on Day 1.  I was seriously lying on the floor because I felt light headed and sick after the video ended…not good.  But I am going to try day 2 because it has to get easier right?  Just agree with me and make me feel better about the whole thing.

In fact, let’s just forget about the whole thing for right now.  Let’s get to the party and the fun features…because, well, because that’s way more fun than working out:-)

    I’ve been wanting to try insanity, but I am so out of shape that I’m afraid I’ll injure myself! I’ll be interested to see how you like it. I linked up peppermint hot chocolate today. That definitely won’t help either one of us!

    More power to you Jocelyn! Whew! I haven’t exercised in months, not sure I could do it! I admire you for trying Insanity! I’m a total slacker and can’t get moving, but I CAN cheer you on!

    My sister in law and I did the 60 days of insanity! It’s CRAZY!!! She puked a few of those days…

    I’ve done Insanity and it is insane! I was really good with following the program the 1st month, but I kinda fell off the 2nd month. Its great for cardio strength and I lost a couple inches around my body without following the meal plan. I just don’t like working out at home, so that was the issue for me.
