At the last minute I decided to see if I could finish a card for
this weeks ColourQ challenge.
I have been fighting a cold all week
and this is the first time that I felt like pulling out the colors.
This one came together really quickly
and I am super happy with how it turned out.
Of course it has an owl and googly eyes on it…
and that always makes me smile!!!!
(I may or may not have bought 3 new owl stamps last week:-)
Hope you are having a fun relaxing weekend!!!
At the last minute I decided to see if I could finish a card for
My kids are on spring break so I haven’t had a ton of blog time this week…
or even had much time to do a lot of crafting.
But I did get these two crafts done last weekend…
at least I am getting these posted before the deadline.
The first one is a card that I did for the
Embellish card challenge.
I make cards all the time but they are never manly.
This challenge made me think outside my box.
I am so thrilled with how this turned out.
You had to use three household items
cereal box, twine, and paint chips.
Mine isn’t a new idea but hey I used all three items.
I cut a wreath shape out,
wrapped it in twine,
cut flowers out of paint chips.
(side note…I finally got my cuttlebug out…
and I LOVE IT!!!!!)
I don’t know why I haven’t used it…
now I want to buy lots more dies for it!!!!!
Paper Trey Ink here I come to buy more dies!!!!
Today was the perfect Saturday:
we slept in and then did nothing all day.
Love when we don’t have any plans for a whole day.
It was nice just to hang out with the kiddos
and make some cookies.
I am just stopping in here real quick
to share this fun card that I finished
for the Colour Q challenge this week.
I am loving the green and purple together.
Such a fun combo to play with:-)
Now I am off to catch up on some
American Idol. (love Pia and Lauren so far)
Do you have any favorites or predictions yet?
Just stopping in today to share with you two things…
1. I am guest posting over at the Hufford House. Click on over and get the recipe for these yummy treats:-)
2. I actually finished a card for a challenge on time this week. You don’t know how many times that I finish cute cards only to realize that the challenge has ended. So yay me!!!
This card is for the latest Colour Q challenge. I wasn’t sure how I felt about these colors together…it actually took me a while to figure out the best way to combine all of them into one card. But I am super happy with how it turned out and even happier that I get to link up this week.
But it was chilly and a lot bit icy.
So we got my office repainted…
I say we, but honestly I didn’t touch the roller even once.
Yup, he loves me!
Huge thank you’s to my husband for painting for me:-)
It is amazing what a difference a fresh coat of paint
and rearranging the furniture can do for a room!
I love it!
(I will get pics posted when it is totally done)
Even with the room full of inspiration,
the paint fumes kept me out…but
I was able to get this card finished for the current
Curtain Call 67.
I think my husband is looking forward to my office being
totally done…I always have a pile of some sort
of project in my “other office”
aka. the dining room:-)
I am also thinking it might be time to invest in
a light box because my card colors
never look right in pictures:-(
I promise in person
these are the colors are very close to the challenge colors.
What do you think???
that I finished up for the 2S4U final challenge.
I absolutely love this cow stamp…
the googly eyes just make him even more hilarious:-)
What? another post without chocolate or sugar??
Am I on the right blog?
I just have some more fun cards to share with you.
I promise lots of calorie laden goodies next week
to make you fall off the diet bandwagon.
(I have already fallen:-)
I have been a busy busy beaver this week
staying up late each night
to make lots of fun Valentines cards
for the St Jude’s card drive!
Why not make them using some of the current challenges out now?
This first card was made for the
Curtain Call #64 challenge.
I was a little skeptical when I saw the colors at first but
by using them all in small doses on white background,
I think it works.
And honest, in person the red hearts really are red…
my camera made them look kind of orange:-(
This next card is my ABSOLUTE FAV from my week of cards.
Love love love using any of my owl stamps.
(Yup still seriously obsessed with owls:-)
This one actually fits the guidelines for 2 challenges…
yea for combining them!!!
Have a great weekend:-)
I am just popping in quick today to share with you a card that I made
for a case study challenge….
I should have posted this yesterday to get in on the challenge:-(
at least I am back to making some fun cards,
and I have a couple other card challenges that I want to enter.
Yea for getting back into making some cards!
Even bigger yea for using up supplies that I already have:-)
This card is also one of many that I will be sending to
the card drive for St. Jude’s Hospital.
I started following Winter’s blog last year and was able to
help out with this fun card drive last year too.
Check out all the details HERE and
maybe you would like to join us in making a child smile
this Valentines Day:-)
May your Christmas be filled
with family, fun, and traditions,
BUT most importantly
be filled with
remembering and celebrating
our dear Savior’s birth.
Thank you Jesus!
Help us to remember all year long,
not just one day out of the year
that You are our Reason!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
it felt good to be up to my eyeballs in paper, stamps, and ribbon.
Definitely reminded me how much I enjoy doing this.
This card is for the current EBTKS card challenge.
The EBTKS girls are amazing and I look forward to their
challenges each month.
Usually I wait to the last minute to pull my card stuff out
and then I get the card finished just a few minutes too late…
not this month:-)
I am on top of it and got it finished right after they posted
the challenge. Can I get a whoot whoot?
I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall
weather this weekend.
The kids and I had a blast playing
in the leaves today…
they had fun while I snapped lots of super cute pictures:-)
Last night I was super inspired
to pull out my card stuff again,
and I wanted to share this cute card
that I finished up for the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch challenge.
The cute flower on the card is actually a hair clip too.
I wanted to include something
that could be used as a gift on the card too.
The flower was the perfect accessory for the circle on the sketch.
I can’t wait to send this one out in the mail:-)
today is lunch date day here:-)
(my hubby and I are taking advantage of the kids in school all day)
This was a hard color combo to play with…
not what I would have reached for first,
but I actually really like how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by:-)
