and this year was no different.
I just HAD to bring lots of goodies with me
when going to visit our families.
So today I wanted to share with you just a few of my favorites.
1. Peppermint Patty Brownie Bites
I definitely had to come up with a holiday brownie bite…
these are by far my favorite brownie bite that I have done yet.
These blew all the others out of the water!
You know the drill…bake your brownies like normal.
Roll the brownie around whatever you want and then dip in chocolate.
This time for the brownies I made homemade peppermint patties.
It says don’t use peppermint extract…but that is what I had,
so…I used it and it was just fine.
Just use 1/2 tsp. extract and 1/4 tsp. canola oil.
These were super yummy!!!!
I love the fact that there is a double layer of chocolate…
because I “had” to dip the peppermint balls before
rolling them up in brownies;-)
Definitely going to add these to my “have to make” Christmas cookie list!!
2. Brownie Covered Oreos
The oreos get softer in the baking and are
Almost like a deep fried oreo but not quite.
Try them…you are going to love them!!!
3. Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
This is my ALL TIME FAV cookie!!!!
(maybe because of the pb cup inside)
Take your fav peanut butter cookie recipe,
roll in a ball and dip in sugar,
then bake for 8 min in a mini muffin pan.
Take out and press a pb cup in the middle.
Let set a few min before removing from the pan.
Refrigerate until the choc is set…
if you can wait that long!
I usually have to eat one right away!
4. Mashed Potato Fudge
I found this recipe a few years ago in an old magazine,
and now I make it every year because it is that good.
But only if you are a coconut lover…
they remind me of a mounds bar.
Now that I have eaten all these cookies…
time for my New Years Resolution.
Bake less and work out more!
Yea, that made me laugh too!
Don’t worry, I plan on baking lots more this next year.
