Happy weekend friends! How did you do this week on your healthy eating? The past year my husband and I have been trying to eat healthier and exercise 4-5 times a week at the gym.
I used to exercise at home by myself, and let me tell you it was not as motivating as exercising with someone else. My hubby and I look forward to our 6 am date at the gym each morning…well, look forward might be stretching it because neither of us are morning people. But once we get there and get started on the workout of the day, we enjoy it. And dropping 10 pounds is also a good motivator.
It is definitely more motivating to have someone there cheering you on…or pushing you to lift heavier. I am definitely challenged when someone tells me I can’t do something…like push a super heavy sled. The other day we had to do sled pushes. That is just what it sounds like. You push this 100 pound sled down and back the length of the gym. Oh, but that’s not it…then you start adding 45 pound weights to it. The 100 pound sled used to be all I could do, but after sticking with it for months I pushed 260 pounds down and back…TWICE the other day! Booyah! I might have felt a little bit weak and queasy after that, but I did it!!
