*Last week we sat down with the kids to pray before bedtime and my youngest had us laughing when he wanted to pray for the families that had been destroyed by the “salami”. We always encourage our kids to think outside of themselves when we ask for prayer requests…so even though this had us totally cracking up, I was SO proud of him for listening and thinking about those families who had nothing now.
*So my baby has a best friend and she is a girl:-) They are so cute and totally unaware of the whole boy/girl thing…even though their older brother and sisters tease all the time about being a “couple”. They take turns going over to each others house on some Sundays. He got to go to her house last week for her birthday. And he was able to go again yesterday…when I asked him why they weren’t coming back to our house…his answer, “We get to eat at her Grandma’s house and her food is really good”. (He must be tired of sweets;-)
*My little buddy…he has always been small. (he only weighed 5 lbs. 3 oz. when he came home from the hospital) He told me about a month ago that his underwear were getting tight. So, I remembered right before going to Walmart on Friday and ran downstairs to see what size they were. The poor kid is almost 8 and still wearing size 3-4…I don’t know how I missed this:-) I felt bad, but hey they have fit him till now!!! I’m not sure if that qualifies as a mom fail or not, but we had a good laugh over it. I guess when he finally starting wearing size 6 pants that maybe I should have gotten bigger everything! LOL!
*and my favorite was when he asked if we could make cookies together…silly of me I know, but I had to ask why he wanted to learn how, and he said, “Because I want to be able to make them without your help when I am older.” Ok, yea, he knows how to melt his momma’s heart!!!! Love this kid so much!!!!!
