    Velveeta Shells and Cheese #cheesyshells

During the school year, my kids pack their own lunches.  I make sure we have plenty of different options for them to choose from, but they are responsible to get it packed in their lunchbox.  Now that summer is here and they are home all day long, they have "forgotten" how to make a lunch.  I still buy the same food, but lately I have been hearing how hungry they are.  Maybe they need a change in their lunch menu.

I have also been looking for new quick and easy lunch ideas to keep on hand for busy baseball days too.  Our youngest plays baseball and that means we are at the ball field quite a few days each week.  I need an easy side dish that he will eat before heading to practice or a game.

One quick meal that everyone in our family likes is macaroni and cheese.    One of our favorites kinds is the Velveeta Shells and Cheese.  I had no idea they had so many flavors to choose from...bacon, rotel, and broccoli.  I'll take one of each.  But the kids seem to love the original box with the liquid gold cheese sauce.  (You can see more from my shopping trip HERE.)

I love how in 10 minutes I can have a side dish that everyone will eat.  Boil the noodles, drain, and stir in that cheese...maybe steal a few bites while no one is looking too.  We like to grill hot dogs while the noodles are cooking too.

Hot dogs and Velveeta shells & cheese is a grand slam quick dinner here.  It gets the two thumbs up from our little slugger as he gets ready for yet another game.  Go team!

We go through SO MUCH Velveeta mac and cheese during the week - some days my kiddo requests it for both breakfast and lunch! I still love to eat it, too. πŸ™‚

OMG, I truly can't keep up with all of your posts. You are a busy busy one πŸ™‚ I have never used Velveta before. I don't even know what that is πŸ™‚ however your son seems to be pretty happy about getting that serving. I like any creamy cheese pasta so I am sure that was delicious.

I just ate dinner but now I'm craving creamy, cheesy shells... I ate velveeta all the time in high school for lunch, and all through my first semester of college!

We eat alot of Velveeta Shells when we go camping. Since you don't need milk and butter it's an easy side dish to grilled food!
