Butterfinger Apple Tart

Cooked apples get baked in a pie crust with crushed Butterfinger candy bars on top.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 - 14 ounce bag Crunch Pak apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 1/2 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars (4 fun sized bars)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Dice apples into large pieces. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Roll out the pie crust according to the directions on the package. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
  4. Pour the apples into the pie crust. Sprinkle with the crushed Butterfingers. Fold the edges of the pie crust over and pleat edges.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  6. Stir together the powdered sugar and water. Drizzle over the cooled pie. Let set.
