Cotton Candy Whoopie Pies

Easy sprinkle cake mix cookies filled with a fun cotton candy frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 Confetti cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can Frosting Creations Frosting Starter
  • 1 packet Cotton Candy Flavor Mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the cake mix, butter, and egg until a soft dough forms. Refrigerate the dough for 20-30 minutes. Roll into 1 inch balls and bake for 9 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 48 cookies.
  3. Stir together the Frosting Starter and the Cotton Candy flavor packet. Lay 24 cookies out upside down. Place a spoonful of frosting on the cookies and top with the remaining 24 cookies.
  4. Store in a sealed container on the counter for 4-5 days. Makes 24 mini whoopie pies.
