Banana Split Pie Recipe

Brownies combined with a banana split is the best of both worlds. This Banana Split Pie Recipe has layers of gooey brownies and a creamy banana cheesecake. A sugar cone crust adds a fun twist to the easy banana split dessert

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed sugar cones (5 oz. box/12 cones)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Pie

  • 1 brownie mix (9x13 size)
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 large egg

For the Cheesecake

  • 1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup mashed banana (1 med-lg banana)
  • 2 Tablespoons all purpose flour

For the Topping

  • 4 cups strawberry halves
  • 1 - 8 ounce container Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries with stems
  • 1/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the sugar cone crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom and sides of a 9 1/2 inch deep dish pie plate.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all the brownie ingredients and stir until mixed. Spoon into the crust carefully. Bake for 35-37 minutes.
  4. While the brownie is baking, beat the cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Add the flour, vanilla, egg, and banana and beat again
  5. Spread on top of the baked brownie very carefully. Bake another 25 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack for 1-2 hours. Refrigerate 3-4 hours or overnight.
  6. Place strawberry halves on top of the chilled pie.
  7. Spoon Cool Whip into a piping bag fitted with icing tip 1M. Add swirls around the outside edge of the pie.
  8. Top swirls with nuts, sprinkles, and cherries.
  9. Heat the hot fudge in microwave safe bowl for 10 seconds. Spoon into plastic bag and cut one corner off. Drizzle over strawberries right before serving.

Notes

  • You can use a regular pie crust or graham cracker crust instead, if you like.
