Lucky Charms Popcorn

Add a touch of magic to your day with this colorful Lucky Charms Popcorn. The combination of popcorn, cereal, pretzels, and candy is perfect for celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups popped popcorn
  • 2 cups Lucky Charms cereal pieces
  • 2 cups Lucky Charms marshmallows
  • 1 cup itty bitty pretzel twists
  • 1 cup caramel corn
  • 1 cup green and yellow M&M's
  • 1 - 10 ounce bag white chocolate melting wafers
  • 2 tablespoons St. Patrick's Day sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Stir popcorn, caramel corn, pretzels, cereal pieces, 1 cup marshmallows, and 1/2 cup M&M's in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the white chocolate according to the package directions.
  3. Pour over the popcorn mixture and stir until everything is coated. Add sprinkles and stir again quickly.
  4. Dump the mixture onto a lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the extra marshmallows and candies.
  5. Refrigerate for 5 minutes, then break into chunks. Store in an airtight container or bag for a few days.

Notes

  • Separate the cereal and marshmallow charms before starting this recipe.
  • Remove un-popped popcorn kernels before making the chocolate-covered popcorn. No one wants to bite into a seed and break a tooth!
  • Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper to keep the popcorn from sticking to the pan.
  • Add the candies, Lucky Charms marshmallows, and sprinkles immediately because melted chocolate hardens quickly.
  • To add an extra fun twist to the mix, add gold chocolate coins after it has hardened. Kids of all ages will love finding "gold" in their special treat.
  • Skip the caramel corn and pretzels and use more popcorn and cereal pieces instead.
