Who is Inside BruCrew Life?
Inside BruCrew Life was started in the fall of 2008 by Jocelyn Brubaker. We are a husband and wife team sharing recipes and information for you and your family.
What Information Do We Collect about You
We collect information on your name, email address, website (if you leave this in a comment), IP address, and the pages that you visited and when you visited them on the site.
How We Collect Information from You
Log Files
As with most other websites, we collect and use data from log files. The information in the log files includes your IP (Internet Protocol) address, your ISP (Internet Service Provider, such as AOL), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site, and which pages you visited throughout our site.
Cookies and Web Beacons
We do use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences, when you visit our site. This could include showing you a pop-up only once during your visit, or allowing you to log in to some of our features, such as forums.
We also use third-party advertisements on Inside BruCrew Life to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information, including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and, in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or for showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you interact with our site and other websites. This could include the inability to log in to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.0)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a "device") by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, "Tags") may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser's cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at https://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.

Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor's referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.

How and Why We Track Visits
Like most websites around the world, we use Google Analytics (GA) to process information about the number of visitors on our site and their behavior.
We use this information to record the number of people visiting Inside BruCrew Life, to better understand where you discover our site (from social media, Google, or another site), how you use it, and to see how people move throughout the site.
GA records your approximate location down to the town level, the type of device you are using (e.g., Mobile or Tablet), the Name of the device (e.g., iPad or Samsung Galaxy), the operating system (e.g., Windows 10 or iOS), and the browser (e.g., Firefox or Chrome). None of this data can be used to identify you.
Google does record your IP address. However, we do not have access to this information, and we cannot modify it so that you cannot be identified. Only the area that you are in is recorded.
Google Analytics and Demographics
We are committed to ensuring that our website contains content that is valuable and useful to our readers.
To help us with this, we have implemented Google Analytics' demographics and interests reporting features on our website. These tools allow us to review anonymous data regarding the gender, age, and interests of website visitors and adapt our website content to better reflect their needs.
Although this information is collected through your Google ad settings, it is not provided to us in a personally-identifiable format. This means we cannot identify what information is about you, and we will not try to figure it out. You can opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Google Ad settings or through the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To do this, Google Analytics uses a "cookie" on your machine.
Cookies
These are small pieces of code we use to track your use of our site and provide the best possible experience for you.
Specifically, we use them for:
- Our commenting system so that you do not have to always enter your details
- Collecting data as part of Google Analytics so that we can see who has visited our website
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings or by managing your preferences.
However, this can affect how you interact with our site and other websites. This could include the inability to log in to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on www.insidebrucrewlife.com
- Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to Inside BruCrew Life and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy at the following URL - https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If You Wish to be Removed from our Database
At any point, you may ask that we remove your information from our systems. Please contact us at jocelyn@insidebrucrewlife.com with your request, and we will do that immediately.
The same applies to the information we hold about you and can be identified as being about you.
Your Acceptance of these Terms
By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes to this policy are posted will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
