We are on the count down for school to be over here. My kids have less than two weeks left. That means we are busy finishing projects and studying for finals. Plus add a wedding cake and packing for vacation into all that. It is going to be a crazy few weeks. The days are going to fly by. But that just means we will be lying on the beach in no time at all. Bring on the sun and the shine!!!
I can’t wait to grab a cup of coffee and see what everyone has been up to this week. You guys are amazing!
Time To Sparkle #8

Is anyone else amazed that tomorrow is the last day of April already? I know I say this every month, but this month really did fly by. That just means April showers should be all over…I hope. We have had so much rain in the past few weeks that May should have flowers all over the place. I am looking forward to planting our flower beds this year.
Before we get to the party, I wanted to mention that the giveaway for a Kitchen Aid mixer that I am participating in. Head over HERE to enter…we will wait for you

Time to Sparkle #4
Happy Party Day friends!!!
Today’s party is actually on my birthday (the 9th) this year,so I want you all to get a cupcake (or two) today, and help me celebrate!!! I love to make my own cake, but I am kind of in a cupcake mood this year. I promise that I will share whatever recipe I end up making with you soon. Until then maybe you could bake a batch of these Salted Caramel Brownie Cups to have later today. The ooey gooey hidden Hershey kiss is one of my favorite parts…right after that salted caramel frosting on top. Maybe I should just make these again to celebrate

Time to Sparkle #3
Did everyone have a great Easter weekend? We had a fantastic day at church celebrating our risen Lord. It was a powerful service, and I was so thankful to be a part of it. There are days I get so busy that I don’t always take the time to keep my Lord as the #1 priority of my life. The message on Sunday was of course the celebration of Christ rising, but it was also the end of our Life series. It was a great reminder to not let life become so busy and so distracting that we forget to include Christ!!!
We also had a fun day with my hubby’s family. The kids of course love my in-laws Easter egg hunt because every egg has change in it! And all the candy that came home with us…this is not going to be good for my diet. We now have tons of peanut butter eggs and mini candy bars…all the stuff that I have a hard time saying no too. I already downed 3 mini Reese’s eggs tonight…at least I ran today right? But that can’t keep happening, or I will start gaining back the weight that I worked so hard to lose!!! Are you joining me in saying NO to the candy? Let’s all start on that tomorrow
Now it is time to get to the fun link party. You guys are amazing! I can’t even believe it when I log on and see how many people are now joining us each Tuesday. Thank you so much for making Sparkle Time such a fab party!!! We couldn’t do it without you!!!

Time to Sparkle #2
So last week Spring arrived, but…you wouldn’t know it if you looked outside my window right now. Last night we had about 10-12 inches dumped on us. The kids were thrilled because they had a snow delay and got to go sledding. How is the weather in your area? I sure hope all this snow melts before this weekend. It is going to be a little difficult to have an outside Easter egg hunt with snow on the ground. Although my kids still talk about the one year we hid eggs in the house because it was raining. We gave each kid a flashlight and turned out all the lights. It was seriously so much fun watching them try to find the eggs in the dark.
Are you ready to show off all the fun things you have created this week? I can’t wait to be inspired by YOU!!! Today I chose all the features, and I was loving all the fun Easter posts. You guys are fabulous and I am excited to show you off!

Say hello to the fabulous Alyssa from The Recipe Critic, Liz from Love Grows Wild, and Tonia from The Gunny Sack. We thought long and hard about what we wanted to call our new party! And the name we all agreed on was TIME TO SPARKLE!!! I think it fits perfectly with what our goal for the party is. We want this to be a place you can share anything and everything you have made. We can’t wait to show you guys off! This is YOUR place to sparkle!!

Trick or Treat Tuesday #10
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone has had a good start to their week.
Ok, before we get to the party, I have just a few things to share with you. First thing, this is the LAST Trick or Treat party here.
Now before you get too sad about that, I have good news. The second part of this news is that I am partnering up with 3 other awesome blogs to keep the link party going. That means when you post on one of the blogs, it will show up on all 4 blogs. More exposure for all the awesome things that you guys do every week. This week we will be deciding on a brand new name, what day, what time…all that good stuff. It will be nice to have help with the link party. With it growing bigger each week, I haven’t had as much time to comment on the link ups, and that makes me feel sad (and really bad)! I am excited to start this new adventure with my blog friends. I’m sure you are wondering who…but…you will just have to come back next week to see who my fabulous co-hosts are.
Ok, let’s get to the good stuff…the fun features for this weeks party!!

Trick or Treat Tuesday #9
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to the Build Your Blog Conference where I got to meet so many of you. It was so much fun, and I learned so much. Although I have to say that meeting the faces behind the blogs I read was by far my favorite thing. I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite “tips” that I learned from attending this particular conference.
1. Roommates are important. It helps to cut costs, gives you someone to eat breakfast with, and someone to chat with when you want to go exploring later. (I had the best ones ![]()
2. Make sure your phone batteries are fully charged…you will want to take lots of spur of the moment pictures of new friends, old friends, or even the notes on the screen in class.
3. Take lots of business cards to pass out every where you go. Everyone else will be doing the same thing, and you want to be able to network fully!
4. Don’t chicken out when you see a “bigger” blogger close by. They are just normal people doing the same thing you are.
5. Bring a water bottle with you for during class. You will be doing lots of walking to and from class, so stay hydrated.
6. Wear comfortable and cute clothes. You will be sitting in class all day, so be comfortable. There will be lots of pictures, so choose clothes that you feel good in too.
7. Smile! Everyone else is just as nervous as you are. Your smile could help them get over their nerves.
8. Be organized and know where you are going. Print directions and agendas so you know where you are going.
If you have the opportunity to attend a blog conference, go for it. I am looking forward to many more conferences in the near future.
Now let’s get to the party…

Trick or Treat Tuesday #8
The past few days we have had sunshine…it’s still cold out but I am loving the bright and cheery sunshine. I am totally and completely ready for spring to be here. My hubby gave me the bad news that snow is on the radar up North of us, but it looks like just rain for us. All that rain has to mean flowers and tree leaves are right around the corner, right?
Ok, guys, I have one huge favor before we get to the party? I don’t normally ask these kind of things but this blogaroo of mine was nominated over on VoiceBoks for Best Food Blog of 2013. I have high hopes of at least placing higher on the list…I realize that this is more of a dessert blog, but I have been branching out more and creating a few more savory recipes like this Spinach Artichoke Egg Casserole last week and these Raspberry Chipotle Turkey Sandwiches. Anyway, would you all take a minute and click over and vote for the BruCrew? I heart all of you!!!
Are you ready to party? Yeah, me too
