We want to wish each and every one of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you so much for being part of the BruCrew this year.
We are so thankful for your continued support as we share dinners, desserts, and life stories with you each week. None of this would be possible without you! Thank you for being here each time we post. It really means so much to us!!! I truly puffy heart love you all!
This year as you finish with your shopping, baking, gift wrapping, and everything else you have going on, let us take time to reflect and remember the reason for the season.
It's so easy to spend so much of our energy on traditions and holiday things that we forget about Jesus and the true peace that only He can bring.
Peace can never be found as long as we are in control of or we try to create circumstances in order to bring peace into our lives. We all have been given an incredible gift, if we would only choose to accept it!
Many, many years ago in a small town in Bethlehem, Jesus was born in a stable to show us the way to live our lives through Him. Christmas is a reminder for us to make sure we do not miss Jesus in all our busy day to day lives.
It's so easy in this crazy, self-centered world that we live in to take our eyes off Jesus and to miss out on the joy and comfort that He wants to share with us. Traditions and holiday fun are not bad, in and of themselves, but when they cause us to forget and leave Jesus out of our lives, then they become bad. When we find Jesus, we find everything we need for living.
"Look for Christ and you will find Him and with Him, everything else." - C.S. Lewis
Let's take time to slow down and open our eyes this holiday season and in the new year ahead of us to see Jesus in everything around us. I pray that the peace and joy of Jesus will fill your heart and mind each and every day!
Merry CHRISTmas and have a wonderful holiday week!
Luke 2:10 "Behold I bring you good new of great joy that will be for ALL the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."
Isaiah 9:6-7 "For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

You are so very welcome. It was something our pastor preached one Sunday and I really wanted to share it here as well. I'm just as guilty as everyone else for losing focus and getting busy. Sometimes that gentle reminder gets us to look beyond the busy and remember the real reason. I hope your Christmas is full of love, joy, and peace as well. Merry Christmas!!!
