Ok, so I have seen these fun cake plates all over the web and
I wanted to show you guys just how easy these are to make.
Really only 5 minutes to do.

    First gather your supplies.
(ok that part will take longer than 5 min)
I got the candle sticks from good will and the dollar tree.
The plates from good will and walmart.

Buy some E6000 glue from walmart.
This is some amazingly strong glue and only about $2.50 at walmart.

Flip the plates over and measure to find the middle.
(I marked it with a pencil mark.)
Place a thin layer of glue on the top of the candle stick and place on the mark.

And then you have some super cute plates to show off some fun baking.

Honestly these only took 5 minutes to put together.

Thank you so much for reading my blog. If you liked this post, please leave a comment. Comments are a great way for me to see what is a blog hit or miss:-)

Oooh thanks for sharing the glue tip! I tried this a few months ago with Gorilla Glue and it was a complete disaster-- I wound up throwing all the plates back in the cabinet and pouting. I think you have given me the encouragement to try again! ๐Ÿ™‚ Looks great!

LOVE THIS IDEA!~ Thanks for sharing! Is that glue some type of epoxy, and is it clear (to use a glass plate)? I've always wanted to do this, but have always been unsure as to what kind of glue to use... - Oh, and I wanted to mention (b/c I know you're all about blog community) - have you ever heard of Blog Frog? I just started a new community there, and am excited about the prospect. It's a way for people to interact w/ each other more AND it's linked to your blog too! You can check out mine from my homepage. Thought I'd share about it in case you were interested in starting one too! (or joining mine of course ;-)) Hope you have a wonderful weekend Jocelyn!

Hi Jocelyn. I love that! Thanks for the tutorial. I will have to get some of that glue. I think you always need some good strong glue around the house...especially with four kids! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚
