Mocha Oreo Cheesecake Goodness!

So last Friday was National Cheesecake Day…
seriously who comes up with all these “different” national days?
But, since it was a “holiday” of sorts,
we celebrated with this delicious ooey gooey cheesecake:-)
(I will take any chance I can get to make cheesecake)

Does anyone else remember the oreos that were filled
with coffee cream?
They were amazing and of course they stopped making them.
So I wanted to kind of replicate that in a cheesecake.
I give you
the Mocha Oreo Cheesecake!!!!

Oh how tasty and pretty this was…
almost too pretty to cut.
Mind you I did say almost…
once we cut into it
there was no stopping.
Yup, it is time to hit the gym again…
all these yummy treats are taking a toll:-)
But they are so worth it.

Ingredients
  • 2 c. oreo cookie crumbs
  • 6 tbsp. melted butter
  • 3 (24 oz. total) pkgs. cream cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/4 c. espresso powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • oreo cookie chunks
  • 1/2 c. white chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
Mix crumbs and butter and press into a spring form pan. Set aside. Beat cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Beat in eggs and sugar. Beat in remaining ingredients, except cookies. Stir cookie chunks in by hand. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350* for around 40-50 minutes. Cool on wire rack for one hour. Run a knife around the outside edge of the cheesecake to loosen from the pan. Refrigerate overnight to let flavors develop. Remove outside of pan and decorate with melted white choc drizzles. Serve with cool whip and extra oreo crumbs and chunks.

  50. Hey I was wondering, for the cream cheese, is it 3X8 oz of cream cheese as in 24 oz of cream cheese? or three packages of cream cheese adding up to 8 oz? please help me; I’d really like to bake it, it looks delicious XD

  51. I’m so sorry; thank you for the change :D
Uhm i just went shopping, and I’ve just realised a few things:
For the oreo crumbs and chunks, do we break the cookies with the cream inbetween, or without?
Also, for the vanilla, is it vanilla extract?

  52. I use a Pampered Chef food chopper and chop the cookies really finely for the crust and then just break the cookies into big chunks for in the cheesecake batter. yes the cream in them still. And you could use real vanilla or vanilla extract. Hope you enjoy it:-)

  53. Thanks Jocelyn :) but I still have one more question…. So sorry!! >.< last one, promise. How many Oreo cookies worth of crumbs do I mix in with the butter? :/

  54. I don’t mind all the questions…I am glad you saw that I responded on the comments:-) It can vary depending on how thick you like your oreo crust. We usually use anywhere from 1/2-3/4 of a package for the crumbs.
