I have been losing receipts and putting things down then forgetting where they are.
Those are the times I pound around the house blaming one of the kids for moving it.
But then I find it, and realize that I am the one who moved it.
The thing is our house isn’t that big and I don’t have huge messes everywhere.
Yes, there are some things that could be a little better organized.
It is just this mom brain of mine that needs some more help.
Just a few weeks ago, we were coming home from somewhere.
I don’t remember…I have forgotten that already.
Anyway, my husband had some cash from something and he handed it to me.
Joking around he laughed and said “Can I trust you with this?” It wasn’t a lot.
But it’s money. I can be trusted with that always. Wink, wink!!!
Well, I put it in a pocket in my purse that I don’t ever put money in.
Don’t ask. I don’t know why either.
Fast forward a few days and my husband wants the money for something.
Do I remember where I put it? Of course not.
I search my purse, my wallet, my jeans pocket…the van.
No money anywhere.
It’s gone. Disappeared. Vanished.
About a week later, I was digging in my purse. Yes, the very same one I searched earlier.
Any guesses what I found in the inside pocket, under some missing receipts:-)
The money.
It was there the whole time…probably laughing at me.
I can tell you one thing that I will never lose!!!
Brownies.
Especially brownies with a fluffy peanut butter nougat filling,
oh, and a hidden marshmallow center!!!
You didn’t think I would forget to tell you about the center, did you???
Of course not. These were way too good to forget about.
Plus, I only have one refrigerator so they were kind of hard to lose.
Don’t make these unless you have somewhere to take them or someone to give them too!
They are super addicting!!!
I kinda really wish I had lost them…my jeans wish I had too:-)

Your story reminds of me of when I put on the first pair of jeans in the fall and find money in the pocket!!! It’s like Christmas! Speaking of Christmas, finding that marshmallow fluff surprise inside those gorgeous little cups!!! Truly yummy recipe!
Yay for finding forgotten money! Those are the best days! And marshmallow surprises are always fun:-)
I literally licked my lips when I saw these haha! thank you for sharing! I love the photos you took of them too
haha! I’m glad you liked them that much:-)
Holy moly, these look amazing Jocelyn! As long as you never forget to keep sharing delicious sweets with us, the rest of your forgetfulness will be forgiven! =)
Oh, believe me…I have no trouble remembering where I keep the sweets:-)
Oh gosh, I’m always forgetting stuff, especially when I’m stressed out. Seems then, my brain is just operating one lone synapse at a time and I can’t remember anything! At least you found your money! Phew, I would have freaked! Also freak-out worthy, are these brownie bites! Love the hidden marshmallow center and anything that includes Reese’s Pieces, one of the most underrated candies in my book!
So glad I’m not alone with the Mommy Brain. I need lists and notes and I still forget stuff at the grocery store. I go in for milk, and come out $100 less and with NO milk… Sigh. At least you really can’t loose these. Literally! Can’t loose them even after 10 laps around the neighborhood. Besides, they look too good to loose.
That filling…oh, that filling! It’s so dense and I love the teeth mark shot. I want to sink my teeth in, too!
That filling will rock your socks off! I may or may not have bitten into 3 or more trying to get the right bite marks:-)
Mmmm these look great! Mommy brain? For me it’s old lady brain!
Those look delicious! Especially as I sit here eating way too many Reese’s pieces. I may have to try them out soon. I love the cup idea also!
What a delicious idea! I love that peanut butter filling!
perfect!! one more treat to add to the many we will be making and devouring while we are daddy-less for the next while. sugar helps with my sadness about the whole bit as well.
Wow these are great. Wait, what am I saying?… Just kidding! I know what you mean though. I cannot. find. anything. anywhere! These brownies, wow. I want several, right now!
These look SO good, Jocelyn!! You had me at peanut butter nougat.
I can not even tell you the number of things I’ve “lost” in my house. *sigh* I’m starting to feel old or something!!
Jocelyn, that filling looks incredible! Wow! I love fluff + PB together
Oh and the reese’s pieces on top is the cherry on top of one amazing brownie dessert!
Peanut butter and fluff is probably my all time favorite combo! And reeses on top…even better:-)
these look so decadently amazing and fluffy!!
They were so fluffy to bite into:-) Gotta love a treat like that!!!
They look so good! YUM! Want one! Angie xo
Distraction and disorganization are 2 wonderful characteristics when it comes to money-cuz eventually you will find it and then it’s like Christmas! Just like these treats
(oh, just make sure you don’t keep the money in a totally inconspicuous place-lol)

Thanks for sharing… these look awesome. One question – if you didn’t have a mini muffin tin – could you make less of them in a regular muffin tin?
You could bake them in a regular muffin pan. You will have to increase the time to around 20-24 minutes, and then follow the recipe.
Thanks!
Hi. Nice blog. However, I have to say… The picture with the bitten cupcake is extremely gross. Why in the world would anybody want to see your teeth marks? Please reconsider your ideas for pictures. It would be best if you not put people through the torture of seeing such a nasty picture with your horse-like teeth marks. Thanks. O_O
yum!!! This looks so tasty, and sounds incredible. Love the picture showing the insides of the brownie cup, looks awesome!
