Beware the Girl Scouts...
They are out in full force trying to sell you little boxes of goodness!
I did my duty and purchased a few boxes
from some of the girls in our church.
(even though I can't believe the cost for such a tiny treat)
But then I think how much I pay for a drink at Starbucks,
and that only lasts 30 minutes.
At least the box of cookies will last longer if we ration them.
Now when I head to Walmart,
I have to keep my head down.
Can't make any eye contact with the girls on the sidewalk!
Gotta pretend like there is a dire emergency...
I just have to get in fast!
If you walk like you are on a mission, you can bypass them
without buying more cookies.
Funny thing...I probably filled my cart with
all sorts of sugar items once I got into Wally World!
So the other day I had some vanilla cake batter left from a cake order,
and I decided to play around with a few flavors and bake ins.
This one has a Tagalong cookie
baked in the bottom and is topped with the
Best Honey Peanut Butter Frosting!
Yes they were amazing!
If you have extra boxes of GS cookies...
walk, no run to your kitchen.
You wanted to bake today, right???

I couldn't avoid the Girl Scouts...three of the them live in my house! I have the very last box of Tagalongs left in our county...I know...I had to search for it...and I am going to put them in the freezer and in a couple of months pull them out and make these awesome treats...truthfully I am all cookied out, but come summer time...
I shared these in my Must Try Tuesday post this week....

Thanks for another great recipe!

Jocelyn, I don't blame you for polishing off the rest of the box of Tagalongs. I would have done the same. They're my GS Cookie weakness. Now that we have a Junior and a Daisy scout in the house, our cookie pantry is ceiling high, so there'll definitely be a box or two of Tagalongs destined to be snuggled in the warmth of a cupcake and topped in your honey peanut butter cream!
Always a pleasure to have you be a part of "A Little Birdie Told Me..." Tuesday at Rook No. 17

to MyZooCrew: I am sorry that they didn't turn out quite the same...at least they did taste good:-) I was just wondering how big of a tbsp. you used. I should have specified that it is a very small tbsp...like measuring water. That is the only thing that I could think of that would make the cookie rise instead of fall.

These are so yummy! Finally tracked down a box of Tagalongs and made them. I followed your directions, but all my cookies came to the top. Just wondering if the 2 tbsp. on the bottom was too much? They still tasted really good, just wish they'd have looked like yours. The butter cream was delicious. Love your blog!

Honey Peanut Butter Cream? Seriously? And you have the nerve to talk about keeping your head down to avoid eye-contact with sweet little children peddling cookie products. I think from now on I will have to keep my head down and avert my eyes when running accross your whole blog! ๐ J/K. Another home-run. Thanks for joining the party.
