Coffee Cheesecake Oreo Brownies: Layers of brownies, holiday Oreo cookies, and a rich coffee cheesecake make these brownies an amazing Halloween treat to indulge in this fall!
I am declaring today a party day because right now I'm looking for any excuse to eat some more chocolate. This past weekend and the last few days have been just a little stressful for me! Nothing super important, just computer things that make my eyes glaze over. All this coding and blog moving and learning has taken a toll on my brain!!!
So, I am now officially all moved over to WordPress...what do you think of the site? Mad props to my blog designer for totally making my blog say, Hello, I'm Jocelyn. I absolutely love it!!! She is incredible, and I can't sing her praises enough.
I am slowly working my way around WordPress. I have figured out enough stuff to get a post up, obviously. Do not ask me anything else though, because I am so lost at the moment! I am told after a few weeks, I'll be a pro! Somehow I am doubting that, since I'm quite the computer challenged person! But I'm up for learning it! Thank goodness for Dorothy holding my hand and walking me through stuff step by step as I wrote this post.
I have the best blog friends!!! It made me feel so loved to get emails and FB posts wondering where I was. You guys made my day yesterday...seriously! My brain was on overload...ok, it still is...so I just had to take my time getting back into it, but I think I am ready to jump in and start learning!!!
It is a good thing I keep things like Oreos, homemade chocolate chip brownies, coffee, and a big tub of Cool Whip on hand at all times to help get me through blog stress!!! Take a look at this brownie would you? You can see why this had to made and eaten while working on the blog move stuff?
These outrageous coffee cheesecake Oreo brownies are a Halloween take on these Ultimate Reese's Cheesecake Brownies.
LOL! I laugh because really I didn't do much of anything with the move, except find all my log-ins and passwords to sites she needed. Oh yeah, and label 500 posts because I was kind of a dork and didn't do that for each one when I posted them. Lesson learned on that one! In my head that sure sounded like a whole lot more work. Anything to make myself feel better about chowing down on a few of these each day!!
Ok, I realized something things this weekend when I was going through all my old posts. (Things like always add labels or categories, so you don't have to do 500 at once.)
First of all, I realized that some of my old pictures are a hoot! Note to all you newbies...stick with it and always be learning. It is fun to look back because you will see how much you have grown after a few years.
Second thing I realized was that this week marks 4 years of blogging!!! 4 YEARS! Can you believe that because I can't??? I can't believe that it has been that long since my very first post that no one, probably not even my family was reading.
That definitely calls for these ghost brownies to celebrate with, right?

- 4 teaspoons coffee extract
- 2 Tablespoons flour

- Spoon the cheesecake batter on top of the brownie batter carefully. Sprinkle with the mini chocolate chips. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Cool completely. Refrigerate until chilled.
- Top with Cool Whip before serving. Mini chocolate chips can be used for eyes, if desired. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
Notes

Ok. These look seriously amazing. I'm not sure what it is, but wow! And congrats on the move to WordPress! I'm in the process of doing that too. It's horribly daunting!

My favorite halloween costume was being a pumpkin! It was a big felt organge top that I wore with green leggings. It was so comfy and warm!
Averie @ Averie Cooks
Fave costume - being a pink fairy princess every year for like 4 in a row as a little girl 🙂
Love your new site, btw. It's just gorgeous, Jocelyn! You've gotta just be loving it!
And GREAT looking Oreos stuffed into the brownies!
Jocelyn
Yes, Averie, I am loving my new design. Learning a new program...not so much!

Hey Jocelyn!
I'm a new comer to your blog and started drooling the moment I saw your home page! You have such a talent. These treats are (almost) to pretty to eat...if they didn't look so darn scrumptious! I love to bake and to cook, so I'm excited to stay tuned to see what you dream up.
Thanks for sharing with all of us!
Erin
PS. I can totally relate to your list making "then lose it when you get to the store" that I saw in your about me section. I do the same thing (except that I've usually set my list down in the produce section while scoping the perfect apple)
Jocelyn
I am so excited to have you here too! Your comment made me smile. Thank you so much!!! And I have put my list down in the store and had to backtrack:-)

Jocelyn, I love today's bars! Combining three of my favorites here - Oreos (especially the fun seasonal orange ones!) coffee and cheesecake. It's like a trifecta of Sally favorites. They are so pretty with the Oreos hiding inside. Love the little ghost on top! lol it's adorable!
Jocelyn
Those three together make an unbeatable combo! I just love that ghost too...so round and fat!!!
Nicky @ Pink Recipe Box
These are adorable! What a fantastic idea. Glad to hear you're settled in WordPress land. I'm just finding my way, too. Pinning these 🙂
Jocelyn
It is definitely different...but I am slowly learning where it all is! Thank you for the pin:-)

I've been using WordPress for a year and I still have no clue what I'm doing--I'll be asking you for help soon! But I LOVE your new site! And these cheesecake bars--so crazy cute. Hmmm, as for a costume, I guess I'd have to say the year I went as a girl from the 50's in a poodle skirt (during my "Grease" phase).
Jocelyn
I don't recommend asking me for much help. LOL I am very computer challenged, especially moving from one program to another.
Tammy
My favorite costume was my genie costume back in elementary school.
Awesome giveaway by the way.

Can't wait to try the brownies! They look delicious!

My favorite costume was about 50 years ago! I still remember it plus my mom made it for me. It was a purple poodle that I also used in a dance recital. What great memories of that costume I have.
Jessica K.
My favorite Halloween costume growing up was this famles alien. She was supposed to be a pretty alien not scary and she was blue not green. But what I liked about it my aunt had a pain of blue patton leather pumps that she let me wear (I am just realizing...we her feet super tiny or did I have clown feet??) and I felt really grown up.
Toni @ KitchenSter
Oh, these look so good ! And to work with wordpress is easy, you will learn in no time. Good luck !!
Jocelyn
Thanks...I am slowly learning where everything is. And I have great friends who are willing to help me out!!!

The new site looks fantastic, congrats! My favorite childhood costume was when I was 8 and my mom made me a lifesaver candy!
