One of my favorite things to do each season is to wander the holiday aisles in stores. I always find fun candies that give me ideas for new desserts.
This year, I found orange cream Oreos and marshmallow pumpkins at Walmart. Immediately, I knew they would be perfect for an easy Halloween bark. If you've never made Oreo bark before, this is your sign to make it now.
Melt white chocolate, spread it on a pan, then add your favorite toppings before it sets. For this batch, I used whole Oreos, candy corn, M&M's, and lots of sprinkles. It turned out so cute!
I made a batch before heading to Texas earlier this month and shared it with my nieces. They loved it and had so much fun picking out their favorite pieces. If you are looking for an easy treat, this Halloween bark is a must.

Key Ingredients
You only need a few candies and some cookies to make this Halloween bark recipe. Here is what you will need to buy from the grocery store:

- White Chocolate: My favorite is the Ghirardelli brand candy melts because they melt smoothly and taste great. Feel free to use white chocolate chips or almond bark that can be found in the baking aisle of most stores.
- Oreos: For Halloween, look for the orange cream-filled cookies for the best pop of color. Although regular Oreos work too.
- Candy: Holiday M&M's and candy corn are popular this time of year. Feel free to use your favorite candies.
- Marshmallows: I found these pumpkin marshmallows in the seasonal aisle at Walmart. Substitute miniature marshmallows if the pumpkins are gone.
- Halloween Sprinkles: Bright colors and candy eyes are the perfect toppers.
How To Make Halloween Bark
Follow these easy steps to make this fun recipe for parties or snacking.

- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl in the microwave. Use 50% power and heat for 30-second increments. Stir until melted and creamy.
- Spoon a little melted chocolate onto the back of each Oreo, then place them side by side on a lined baking sheet.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the cookies. Use an offset spatula to spread it out in an even layer.
- Press the marshmallows, candy corn, and M&M's into the wet chocolate, then add edible eyes and sprinkles. Give it time to set up before cutting it into smaller pieces.

Storing and Freezing
On the Counter: Store the bark in a sealed container at room temperature for 3-4 days or in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
In the Freezer: Place the candy pieces in a freezer bag or box, then freeze for 2-3 months. Let it thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
BruCrew Tips
For the best results in your kitchen, be sure to follow our recipe tips.
- Use a good-quality chocolate. Not only will it melt smoothly, but it will taste amazing too.
- Heat in the microwave at 50% power, or use a double boiler to melt the chocolate without burning it.
- Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper to make removing the bark easier once it sets.
- Dip the bottoms of the cookies into melted chocolate. Then place them on the parchment so they stay in place while you spread the remaining chocolate on top.
- Add the toppings quickly. You have a short window before the chocolate starts to harden, so work fast.

Bark Variations
- Use other types of chocolate. Milk or dark chocolate is an excellent option if you don't like white chocolate.
- Choose a variety of colors to add a festive touch to the bark. Drop spoonfuls of orange, green, black, or purple candy melts onto the melted chocolate, then swirl before adding toppings.
- Add your favorite candies. A few fun options are Reese's Pieces, gummy works, or chopped candy bars. It's a great way to use up leftover Halloween candy.
- Give it a salty flair by adding nuts, pretzels, and crushed potato chips.
