A batch of this Chocolate Cherry Marshmallow Fudge is a delicious treat to make for Valentine's Day. This easy to make chocolate fudge recipe has little pockets of cherries and marshmallows in it. Make sure you keep some for yourself too.

So I have been holding out on you guys...this chocolate fudge was actually made back in December. Doesn't it look pretty and Christmas-y? It even got sent out in packages along with some of this hot chocolate fudge to our out of town family.
The problem I have as a food blogger is that I over make for every holiday. Food bloggers you get me, right?
There are only so many days that I can post food. I mean I could post a recipe every day I guess...if I never wanted to sleep or see my hubby and kiddos. So nope, that's not an option.

As I was setting up my fudge to take pictures, I was mentally thinking about everything else I already had made for the month. There was no way this fudge was going to get posted. And it was way to yummy to wait an entire year to share it.
But candied cherries and chocolate are the perfect Valentine's Day treat too. So, out came the heart day supplies!

I love using treat boxes to gift fudge in. They are the perfect size to fit 9 good size pieces of fudge. I don't like wimpy fudge, so I usually cut my batches into 36 squares. You really could do 49. If you are into portion control or something like that.
My hips and thighs wish I would learn about this portion control thing! They are tired of going to the gym and doing crazy WOD's, only for me to come home and ruin all their progress with fantasy fudge, banana fudge and peanut butter balls.
Anyway, some washi tape and some heart stickers on tags makes this Chocolate Cherry Marshmallow Fudge so fun to share with those you love.

Hi. Looks like great fudge. Question can I use maraschino cherries??
Jocelyn says
Yes, the maraschino cherries would work just fine as long as you dry them off really well. I hope you enjoy the fudge!
Sue says
Hi! I love your recipes! I've been saving this one and I'm finally ready to make it! I love the chocolate and cherry combo! One question...can I use maraschino cherries if I can't find candied cherries? I don't want to risk ruining this fudge! thanks 🙂

I love your decorated gift boxes, sooo cute! I have never used Washi tape and need to get some pronto. I also love your "repurposed" cherry fudge. 🙂 Your fudge recipes are always a success! This week's care package to my son included your Caramel Chocolate Chip Brownie Brittle Fudge AND Mint Chocolate Cookies and Cream Fudge. Both received two thumbs up. 🙂

Once you get started on washi tape, you will be washi-ing everything 🙂 I am so glad to hear you have made a few of my other fudge recipes. Yay for fun care packages full of fudge!!!

I am glad I wasn't the only one making Valentine's day recipes in December. I felt guilty enough shopping for heart shaped Candy on December 27th LOL. Gorgeous fudge here my friend!
Jocelyn Brubaker says
I try so hard to not make stuff for the next holiday. I want my family to know that I cared about the present holiday when it is happening...but this fudge might have been a slight stretch to the next holiday. Lucky for me chocolate and cherry is great for two holidays in a row 🙂
Jenny Flake says
My Oh my!! Your fudge looks amazing... chocolate and cherries are sure to please 😀

I totally get where you're coming from! It's so hard not to make EVERYthing you want, because you know you'd never get to share it! This fudgy looks amazing -- love chocolate and cherries!
Jocelyn Brubaker says
I definitely go in spurts of making tons of stuff and then realizing I'm never going to get ahead on editing and sharing! But then I get a break for a week or two because I am so far ahead!
Julie | This Gal Cooks says
TOTALLY get what you are saying! I've had to take a little break over the past couple of weeks - I posted a couple recipes but I didn't do all of the blogging stuff I usually do. But sometimes we need that! So glad you got around to sharing this fudge, Jocelyn! Looks SO good and it's perfect for Valentine's Day!
Jocelyn Brubaker says
Yes, a break from making and posting is definitely needed every so often!
amanda @ fake ginger says
My goal in life is to be as prepared as you. I'm lucky if I have a recipe done a week in advance!
This fudge looks delicious! I caught my husband eating maraschino cherries out of the jar the other night so I definitely need to make it for him!
Jocelyn Brubaker says
Yeah, I'm not as prepared as I let on 🙂 I might have the recipes made and photographed but that's as far as it goes. Most posts are finished the night before posting because I procrastinate!!!
Kathleen @ Yummy Crumble says
These are definitely a perfect gift idea. My problem is making enough so I can eat it too! I love chocolate paired with cherries 🙂
Jen @ Baked by an Introvert says

Awe you are too sweet!!! Although I can think of few dessert bloggers who might have me beat in the fudge department 😉
Erin @ Miss Scrambled Egg says
I love the packaging for this fudge. It's adorable (especially the sequined heart). Cherries and chocolate are such a wonderful pair.
Jocelyn Brubaker says
Thank you 🙂 Isn't chocolate and cherry one of the bests?
Aimee @ ShugarySweets says

Overdoing it for any holiday is a food blogger's woe! And then you don't actually feel like baking any more when the holiday arrives.
If I were you, I wouldn't be able to stop eating this fudge, either. It's such a great flavor!
Jocelyn Brubaker says
I think every food blogger runs into this over making issue...at least I hope I'm not the only one doing it 🙂 It's a good thing I gave this fudge away, because I couldn't stop eating it either!
