This Rocky Road Fluff Salad is a great addition to any dinner. It’s the perfect dessert to end any meal.
Let’s talk about salad for a minute. When you first hear the word salad, I am sure you think green leaves, vegetables, and dressing, right?
But did you know that a salad is actually a dish consisting of small pieces of food mixed with sauce. So this chocolate pudding dessert can be called a salad! It has small pieces of nuts and chocolate mixed together with pudding and Cool Whip. That sounds like a salad to me.
So last week I shared this Banana Split Fluff Salad. It was one of those fun desserts that we enjoyed and I couldn’t wait to share it with everyone. But I had no idea that it was going to go so crazy on Facebook and Pinterest. Yay for fun food that everyone likes!! I see lots of this salad showing up at picnics this summer!
Well, almost everyone liked it. There were quite a few comments about how it didn’t look good and why would you call this salad. People are much more vocal when they are behind a computer screen. I don’t get it. If you don’t like something, then just keep scrolling, right???
Anyway, I am braced for whatever people think about this fluff salad. And yes, I am still calling it a salad. Salad can be dessert food too!
Since the other fluff salad was such a hit, I started thinking about other fun variations. I might have come up with about 10 other crazy twists to this dessert salad. I hope you are ready for lots of “salad”!
Chocolate had to be first though. I had so many questions on how to make the Banana Split version without pineapple. Turns out lots of people don’t like that either, so this Rocky Road Fluff Salad is a way to make it with just milk.
Rocky road ice cream is one of my favorites. I love soft marshmallow mixed with chocolate and nuts, so it was only fitting to add it into the pudding fluff.
Perfect way to eat a salad if you ask me 🙂
