It’s that time of year when all things s’mores reign supreme. Something about summer just screams s’mores.
I guess it’s because this is the time of year when most people go camping or have picnics and bonfires with the gooey treat. Although, if I’m being honest the only way I enjoy outside s’mores are if children are not around.
We’ve talked about this before. Children waving point sticks with flaming sugar balls is not a good idea. And the problem is that they never seem to grow out of that phase. My husband still lights up a marshmallow as a torch.
I think it’s all the years of trying to keep our children from catching all the things on fire or from falling into the fire that has traumatized me about s’mores.
Oh, I still enjoy them. Don’t get me wrong. Nothing will ever take away my love for gooey warm marshmallows, melty chocolate, and crunchy graham crackers. It’s a treat that I absolutely adore.
I have just decided that coming up with s’mores treats in the comfort and safety of my kitchen is a better idea. Plus, then I can enjoy that flavor combo all year long. We shouldn’t have to wait for summer to have a s’mores.

To be honest, I enjoy them all. Creamy pudding loaded with marshmallows, fruit, nuts, or chocolate is never a bad idea in my opinion. Plus, I get to eat a sweet treat and call it salad. Does it get any better than that?
Last week I realized that I needed to add a s’mores version to my list of delicous fluff salads. And since I’m a big fan of all things cheesecake too, I decided to combine the too. Instead of using pudding, I used cream cheese to give it the creamy texture.
Tips to make this S’mores Cheesecake Fluff Salad:
Set out the cream cheese ahead of time. It’s easier to beat cream cheese when it is slightly warm. You can also microwave it for about 20 seconds if you forget to set it out. Just make sure you don’t forget to remove the foil wrapper first.
Add the marshmallow fluff and beat it into the cream cheese. Make sure to use a spatula to clean the sides of the bowl and push it back down into the bottom, so it can continue getting creamy.
Spoon in an entire container of Cool Whip. Yes, I said it. I realize this ingredient is a very controversial product. You either hate it or love it. I’m team love all the way. Feel free to use 3 cups of stabilized whipped cream in it’s place.
Stir in chopped up graham crackers, chocolate bars, and mini marshmallows, then refrigerate it for at least an hour before serving. It is ready to eat right away, but the flavors and texture are so much better if you give it some time in the fridge first.
Serve this delicious S’mores Cheesecake Fluff Salad with a spoon or graham crackers. It’s delicious eaten alone, but it’s also so good as a dessert dip.

S’mores Cheesecake Fluff Salad recipe:
- 1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup marshmallow cream
- 1 - 8 ounce container Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups crumbled graham cracker chunks (6 full crackers)
- 1 cup Hershey chocolate bar chunks (12 snack size)
- Beat the cream cheese until creamy. Add the marshmallow cream and beat again until all mixed in. Use a spatula to keep the sides of the bowl clean and the ingredients pushed down.
- Spoon in the entire container of Cool Whip. Fold and stir until it is completely mixed in.
- Add the marshmallows, graham cracker chunks, and chocolate bar chunks and stir in gently.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Garnish with more graham cracker chunks and candy bar chunks, if desired.
