Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark

pretzel bark

Today is starting off a fun month of giveaways for you.  I have some really fun products lined up for some lucky BruCrew readers.  They range anywhere from $25 – $250.

Are you excited yet???  I sure hope so…because I am so excited to share them with you:-)

How many of you are familiar with Pick Your Plum?
Every day they have  a new deal of the day.  Your mission is to get there and order your fun new goodie before they sell out.  But the good news is that they will be back the next day with another fun product at a super low price that you can try to order.

pretzel bark

I have been testing out some fun new holiday recipes in my kitchen this week.  This pretzel bark almost didn’t happen.  My first thought after I made it was that it was a huge fail.  The chocolate melted kind of funny, so I topped it off with some sprinkles and threw it into the fridge.  Sprinkles always make me feel better:-)  A few hours later I was getting a bottle of water, and I thought I would look at it again to see if I could fix it…or at least eat it.  Somehow magic happened in my fridge because it looked great…rustic, but still great.  I waited until it came to room temperature before breaking it into chunks.   Salted caramel is always a favorite of mine, and this bark won my heart with it’s salty and sweet magic.  I love it even more because it seriously only takes a few ingredients and less than 20 minutes to whip up. 10 minutes in the fridge, and then you are on your way to salted caramel bark heaven.

A few weeks ago I bought these cute white treat bags from Pick Your Plum.  With the holidays coming up, I knew that I would need some cute bags to giveaway all the sugar that happens in our kitchen.  Stick a few $1 Walmart stickers and tie it with fun Plum twine and you have a super cute bag for all those holiday goodies.

Pick Your Plum is my favorite place to catch sales on all the fun baking supplies like straws, liners, boxes, twine, washi tape, tags, bags and so many more fun products.

The winner of this giveaway will be receiving a Plum box filled with $50 worth of super fun products.  What will you win?  I don’t know, but I sure wish I was the one getting it because they have some really neat things.

While you try to win the goodies, I am headed to my kitchen to eat a few more chunks of this salted caramel goodness.  I am warning you…it is very, very addicting:-)

What treats will you be baking and giving away this Christmas?

Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark and $50 Pick Your Plum Giveaway

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Yield: about 36 pieces

Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark and $50 Pick Your Plum Giveaway

Sweet and salty pretzel crust topped with melted caramel kisses for a fast and easy holiday treat.

Ingredients

2 c. coarsely chopped pretzels
1/2 c. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. sea salt, divided
2 bags Hershey's caramel kisses (10 oz. each)
sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine the pretzels, sugar, and 1 tsp. sea salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until it is all coated. Spread out on a greased 10x15 baking sheet. Press the pretzels down evenly over the whole pan. Bake at 350* for 8 minutes.
  2. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately place the kisses on the hot crust. Place it back in the oven for another 6 minutes. As soon as you remove the pan, gently press the kisses down with the edge of a knife. Spread out the melted chocolate carefully. Top with sprinkles and the last teaspoon of sea salt. The chocolate will set up fast, so you need to work quickly. Press the sprinkles into the chocolate with the back of a clean spoon if desired. Refrigerate at least 10 minutes. Break into chunks.
