Summer means it is officially ice cream season. Although I live in sunny Florida, ice cream is basically a year-round treat. I love keeping a variety of flavors in our freezer, so we can cool off on a hot day.
Did you know that you can make ice cream without a machine? This no churn ice cream only has a few ingredients and can be customized to your taste every single time.
After making peanut butter Snickers cookies, I had a leftover bag of candy bars. So I decided to make another simple ice cream base. I chopped the extra Snickers bars and added some peanuts for extra crunch. To top it off, I swirled in some caramel before freezing it all.
Why You'll Love This Snickers Ice Cream Recipe
- No ice cream maker needed! All you need is a bowl, a mixer, and a loaf pan to make this easy frozen treat.
- Extra rich and creamy. Cream cheese is my secret ingredient for a thick, creamy texture.
- The best crunch. Candy bars and chocolate-covered peanuts add a crunch to every scoop.
- Ready in just 15 minutes. Mix everything together, pop the bowl in the freezer, and sit back and wait. The hardest part is waiting for it to freeze!
Ingredients Needed
These are the simple ingredients you will need to create this no churn Snickers ice cream. Scroll down to the recipe card for the exact amounts.

- Heavy Whipping Cream: Make sure you grab the heavy cream and not regular cream. The extra fat content makes the cream whip up better.
- Cream Cheese: The secret ingredient that makes this dessert so rich and creamy.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: The canned sweet milk sweetens the mixture without needing more sugar.
- Snickers Bars: Obviously the most important ingredient! Chop full-sized bars or Snickers bites into small bite-sized pieces.
- Chocolate Covered Peanuts: The unique mix-in that sets this recipe apart from others. They add a chocolate flavor and crunch that makes each bite so good.
- Caramel Ice Cream Topping: Adds pockets of creamy caramel throughout. Use your favorite brand or make your own.
Ice Cream Variations
- Add hot fudge swirls. The combination of caramel and hot fudge is seriously delicious!
- Use your favorite candy instead. You can substitute any candy for the Snickers. Other good options are Reese's cups, Milky Ways, Butterfingers, or Kit Kats
- Make Snickers ice cream bars. Freeze the mixture in popsicle molds. Once frozen solid, remove and dip in a magic shell coating.
- Make a brownie sundae. Add a scoop of Snickers ice cream to warm chocolate chip brownies, then top with hot fudge and caramel drizzles.
How To Make Snickers Ice Cream
The best part about this recipe is how little effort it actually takes. Mix everything together, layer in the caramel swirls, and freeze.

- Whip the cream. Beat the heavy whipping cream in a chilled bowl until medium-stiff peaks form.
- Make the base. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Slowly mix in the sweetened milk.
- Fold in the mix-ins. Gently stir in the whipped cream, chopped candy bars, and peanuts. Use a spatula to lift and fold rather than stirring fast.
- Layer with caramel. Spoon ⅓ of the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Drizzle caramel on top and swirl gently with a knife. Repeat 2 more times.
- Freeze. Cover tightly and freeze for at least 6-8 hours or overnight.

BruCrew Tips
- Chill the bowl. Freezing the bowl for at least 15-30 minutes makes a big difference in how quickly the cream whips up.
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened. Cold cream cheese will leave lumps in your ice cream mixture.
- Fold gently. Use a rubber spatula to fold and stir very carefully to avoid deflating the cream.
- Swirl the caramel carefully. Swirl just enough to create pockets without disturbing the layer below.
- Make it the night before. A full night in the freezer allows the mixture to freeze completely.
Storage Recommendations
Store the homemade Snickers ice cream in a tightly sealed freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Press plastic wrap or parchment paper directly onto the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.
Let it sit on the counter for 5 minutes before scooping for the best consistency.
