Some of the best recipes here happen by accident, and this s'mores popcorn is one of my favorites. After making s'mores cookie cups, I had some leftover candy bars. So, I dug through the pantry and found a box of Golden Grahams and some microwave popcorn.
Immediately, I knew I had to transform my favorite campfire treat into a fun dessert popcorn! Plus, the best part is that no fire pit is needed!
Covering buttery popcorn, gooey marshmallows, candy bars, and crunchy graham cereal with white chocolate was my best decision of the day. It disappeared so fast that I had to make another batch the very next day!
Why You'll Love This S'mores Popcorn Recipe
- Classic s'mores flavors without a camping trip. You will get chocolate, marshmallow, and graham in every single handful. It's a fun take on s'mores that you can make any time of year from the comfort of your own kitchen.
- Ready in just 15 minutes! All you need to do is toss, coat, spread, and wait. This no bake snack mix comes together so fast.
- Perfect treat for every occasion. This recipe makes 12 cups of popcorn. Perfect for sharing at family movie nights, summer parties, or for a sweet-and-salty snack.
Ingredients Needed
Our popcorn s'mores recipe comes together with just a handful of simple ingredients. Scroll down to the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post for the exact amounts.

- Popped Popcorn: Any air-popped, store-bought, or microwave variety will work. However, I do recommend a buttered one for the most delicious contrast with the sweet mixins.
- Mini Marshmallows: Add that classic gooey marshmallow flavor to the mix. The small mini ones work best because they spread out better with the other ingredients.
- Hershey's Candy Bars: I used 16 snack-sized bars chopped into smaller chunks. Freeze them before adding to the mix so they do not melt when the warm white chocolate is poured over.
- Golden Grahams cereal: My secret ingredient gives popcorn a classic graham cracker crunch without breaking up the crackers. The cereal gives each bite a sweet honey-flavored crunch.
- Chocolate Melting Wafers: This coating helps hold everything together. Ghirardelli melting wafers are my favorites because they melt so smoothly and taste incredible. I don't recommend chocolate chips because they contain stabilizers that prevent them from melting as well.
- Colored Sprinkles: Totally optional, but they add a pretty touch. Use whatever color or style fits your occasion or season. I like to use red, white, and blue sprinkles during the summer.
Recipe Variations
- Swap out the candy bars. Any chocolate bar you love works great in this recipe. Reese's cups, Kit Kats, Snickers, or Milky Way bars are all delicious options.
- Try dark chocolate instead of white. Use dark chocolate melting wafers to give the mixture a more intense chocolate flavor.
- Use other Graham pieces. Teddy Grahams, or graham cracker pieces, work as a good substitute for the cereal.
- Package it as a gift. Divide the popcorn into cellophane treat bags. Add a ribbon for the most adorable edible gift. Perfect for bake sales, party favors, teacher gifts, and holiday gifting.
How To Make S'mores Popcorn
If you can pop popcorn and melt chocolate, you can make this recipe. It comes together in minutes, and the only challenge is keeping your hands out of the pan while it sets up.

- Combine the dry ingredients. Add the popcorn, marshmallows, frozen candy bar chunks, and cereal to a large mixing bowl. Stir gently to combine everything and set aside.
- Melt the chocolate. Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each one, until completely melted and smooth. Let it cool for a few minutes.
- Coat the popcorn mix. Pour the slightly cooled melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture and stir quickly until everything is coated. Work fast because the white chocolate will start to set as it cools!
- Spread and chill. Dump the coated popcorn onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread it out. Refrigerate for about 5 minutes to set the chocolate.
- Break into chunks. Once the white chocolate has set, remove the pan from the fridge and break everything into smaller bite-sized chunks.
- Drizzle and decorate. Melt the chocolate wafers in the microwave, then spoon them into a small ziplock bag. Snip one tiny corner off and drizzle the melted chocolate over the chunks. Add the colored sprinkles before the chocolate sets.

BruCrew Tips
- Use fresh popcorn for the best taste and crunch. You can use an air popper, microwave, or the stovetop popcorn method with coconut oil.
- Remove unpopped kernels. Please go through the popcorn and remove the seeds so no one breaks a tooth on your snack mix!
- Freeze the candy bar chunks first. After chopping the bars into chunks, place the bowl into the freezer for about 30 minutes. This prevents the candy bars from melting when the warm white chocolate is poured over them.
- Let the white chocolate cool slightly. Give the melted chocolate a few minutes to cool before pouring it over the mixture. If it is too hot, it can melt the marshmallows and candy bars.
- Work quickly! Once you pour the white chocolate over the popcorn, you need to stir and spread it fast before it starts to set. Have a parchment-lined pan ready in advance.
Storage Recommendations
Store the popcorn in an airtight container or Ziploc bag at room temperature for up to 3 days. The white chocolate coating keeps everything fresh and crunchy.
This is also a great snack to make ahead of time. Make it the night before your party or event and have it ready to go when you need it.

You are hilarious! I love your commentary on people at the gym! There are some interesting characters there that's for sure! I'd like to think I'm one that blends in and nobody notices because I don't do anything too crazy! haha Anyway, I'd rather be eating your popcorn than working out... just saying! 🙂 Thanks for sharing on Saturday Show & Tell at Cheerios and Lattes last weekend! So...I could definitely be convinced to hit the gym if I could eat this while working out. Looks AWESOME!
Dorothy @ Crazy for Crust says
I love people watching at the gym! So fun. I'm usually the silent observer; I face the large TVs (bonus: full view of everything around me) and try not to stare. And barefoot? EW. That's just wrong. This popcorn, however, is not wrong. It's so right. 🙂

The gym is the ULTIMATE place for people watching--some of the things people wear and do... it's insane! I see the matchy-matchy makeup girls at my gym ALL the time; I always wonder if their fake tan stuff will ever sweat off them and onto the machines? What if someone slipped and got hurt?! They'd have to tell everyone "yeah, I was at the gym and fake tanner tried to KILL me." How awkward! Also awkward? Creepy shy dudes having their MOMS ask you out. Oooookayyyyy... moving on! This popcorn, however, looks delicious and would probably be very awesome incentive to work out so you could eat MORE 🙂

This looks SO GOOD. I love the "mixes" coated in white chocolate. I make one with pretzles and peanuts (from Paula Deen) that is awesome. THIS one looks like a winner for sure. Love your photo styling too!

Oh yeah, that would get me to the gym, having that dangled in front of me. The popcorn dangled in front of me (just so there is no question about what I was referring to)!!
