Let’s talk about fashion for just a minute.  How many of you have heard of a Spankz?  Basically it is a very tiny undergarment that squeezes the life out of you so you can look good in your clothes.

I found a couple cute dresses a few months ago that I really liked, but they were just a teeny tiny bit too snug.  I had high hopes that I would stick with the exercise routine, and I would give up eating cookies, so I decided to buy them.  Yeah…neither of those happened in time for me to wear the dresses without help.  Time to go shopping for a Spankz.  I was curious how well they really would work.  My daughter and I headed to the mall with some friends.  After having a great lunch and some fun shopping, we headed to Kohl’s to see if we could find the undergarment that I was looking for.   After I picked myself up off the floor from sticker shock, I grabbed a few sizes to try on.  How can something so small cost so much money?  It’s crazy!

Just so you know, I had a complete workout  in the dressing room.  I worked up a sweat just trying to wiggle in and out of those torture devices.  These things cause emotional and physical distress.  Emotional because you feel like a huge whale trying to get your body into a piece of clothing that looks like it was made for a 10 year old.  The physical distress comes from sweating buckets while you are supposedly on a fun shopping trip.  Exercise and shopping should never go in the same sentence.

Let me just tell you, this dark chocolate cookie was absolutely perfect.  They were rich and soft and full of Butterfinger candy chunks.  I suggest making sure you buy milk when you buy the rest of your ingredients.  They may be rich, but they were just right to dig into after a traumatic shopping trip :-)

First of all, you totally didn’t need the spankz. Second of all, I really wanted to watch you wiggle in and out of that thing, in a totally non-creepy way. Third, these cookies are probably going to mean spankz for all of us, all the time!

Bahahaha I had to have multiple spanks for cheerleading and I remember, as I was not the tiniest of the ladies out there, having some serious issues with those. Eventually I just bought leggings and got rid of those “torture devices” heehee.

BUT ON A HAPPIER NOTE – dude Jocelyn these cookies are chocoholic approved for sure :D

Spanx give me the shivers. Anything that’s too constricting (even if it will make me look 20 pounds lighter) gives me a panic attack. I have had full-on bawling sessions in dressing rooms because I got stuck inside of clothing. It’s so bad! I begin freaking out thinking I’m going to live the rest of my days with my head half-protruding from a dress neckline, haha. I totally want these cookies to help with the PTSD from shopping!

Oh dear. I hope you didn’t end up buying one of those torture devices. My husband always makes us walk to the mall, so I can’t go shopping without exercising. It’s pretty much the law. It’s also sweaty and gross. C’est la vie. I totally deserve a cookie when it’s over.

I take it that you didn’t end up getting the Spankz? Lol. Seriously, they sound like torture devices, created by someone who hates women. Sadly, I’m going to need one myself – I’m a bridesmaid for my lil sis’ wedding in August and the dress we bought is a wee bit tight. My vow to exercise and eat healthy from four months ago was never brought to fruition – no surprise there! I’ll just stuff my face with these sinfully decadent cookies and rely on my future Spankz to rein it all in!

Frequently, when I send my son one of your candy bar-in-a-cookie/brownie recipes his response is, “These are really good but they would probably be even better with Butterfingers.” No substitutions will be needed here! My resident Butterfingers chocoholic is going to be ecstatic! These really look chewy, chocolaty wonderful. :) Spanx are a funny thing. Their purpose is to create smooth curves (as opposed to lumps and bumps)and enhance “sexiness”. But can you imagine anything less sexy than trying to get in and out of those things?! And totally forget using the bathroom. You have to start the whole process over again! If you do decide to purchase some though, Marshal’s often carries them at reduced prices. :)

I love Butterfingers but never keep them in the house because I’d look like one in no time. However, my mom always has them in the freezer at her house and that’s the first place anyone in my house goes to when we go over there. These cookies look outrageously delicious. I can’t wait to make them. You really have some great cookie recipes. Where on earth do you find them all or do you create all of them yourself?
