Until then, how about some pictures of our travel trail mix???
A few days before vacation, we were at Walmart picking out some travel food.
I had a bag of the new M&M Trail Mix in my cart,
when I had a lightening bolt of inspiration.
Why not just buy all the ingredients and make a giant batch of the goodness?
Sure I was spending a little bit more that way,
but I had a much bigger bowl of goodness for the long drive in our van.
This is the perfect snack mix too
because you can totally customize it with whatever you have in your cupboards
or with whatever you are craving at the moment.
Feel free to substitute something different to make it your own:-)
- 2 c. pretzels
- 1 1/4 c. salted peanuts
- 2 c. mini chips ahoy cookies (8 oz. bag)
- 2 c. mini marshmallows
- 1 c. M&M’s
- 1 c. mini peanut butter cups
- 1 c. mini oreos (bite sized)
- 2 c. Reeses Puffs cereal

Oh my gosh, everything about this sounds so good. And it’s so pretty too. I love doing that; buying in bulk and making my own mix. Way better. Now if only we were driving to AZ…wait a minute. Scratch that. No amount of trail mix would make that bearable, ha.
But I bet I could bring it on the plane…
Sadly, I know too well for a fact that the new M&M trail mix is AWESOME but yours looks better since you bulked it up with even MORE yumminess! I wouldn’t mind munching on this for 17 hours, even if my thighs protested
and welcome home, even though the Bahamas does sound totally rad.
Jocelyn, this trail mix looks like dessert! I could shovel back a few HUGE servings of this. Everything I love in one sweet/salty handful. Thanks for the recipe!
Welcome home, glad you had a good time! You are totally right about the driving, always much longer on the way home but I think part of it is thinking of all the laundry you’ll be doing over the next few days, running to the store to pick up milk, get back in the daily routine, at least it is for me, lol. Love taking snacks with us on long trips, will definitely add this one to our list for July!
I LOVE trail mix and one with marshmallows – yum!
I hear you…coming home from vacation seems like it takes FOREVER. But I could totally get through it with some of this awesome trail mix–looks amazing!
YAY. So glad you are home safely! I think you need to whip up a batch of this today, as you tackle the unpacking, laundry, etc! Welcome back!
Glad you had a good trip. The car ride home from vacay always seems loooong! lol This trail mix looks delish!
Now that is my kind of trail mix!!! WOW! Everything in it rocks! Your vacation sounds wonderful. Lucky!
Every time I come here, I tell myself I cant’ come here any more because it gives me too many ideas on the calories I want to consume.
This looks amazing!
You have Reese Puffs in there!!! My family would go nuts over this mix! We are getting ready for along drive in the van ourselves, may have to borrow your recipe! Glad you had a great trip!
Oh my gosh. This is all of my favorite things!!! Seriously. Reese’s Puffs in a trail mix?? Genius! And my favorite part? NO RAISINS! Love it
Sounds like you had an amazing vacation…the Bahamas! Nice!
What’s not to love about this snack mix!?! We are on the same wave length…I posted a sweet and salty mix yesterday too:)
Oh, I could eat so much of this stuff – thanks for sharing!
