This week I learned to never leave my keys in the van, even if you are coming right back out.

My daughter and I were out shopping earlier this week, and we got home just in time to head back out for a meeting.  I had about 5 minutes to run inside and freshen up, so I thought I would just leave the keys in the middle console.    Bad idea because apparently when I dropped the keys down and jumped out, I failed to hear the van lock itself.

And the keys in the van were the only set we have.  The spare has taken up residence somewhere in the house, and no one knows where.   [Read more...]

 Easter is this weekend and with all the fun and exciting plans we have going on, I wanted to create a delicious and easy cake that could be enjoyed without spending hours in the kitchen.

A few weeks ago I made a pan of brownies before going to bed.  It's totally normal for me to be putting a pan of brownies or muffins into the oven at 10 pm at night.  The night owl in me bakes best then.

Our Walmart carries an instant Strawberry Creme Jello Pudding Mix that I knew would work perfectly for this cake.  If you can't find that pudding, use instant vanilla pudding and a little bit of strawberry Jello powder.

 I puffy heart love peanut butter.  It is one thing that I could use in baking every single time because I love it that much.

My husband on the other hand must be an alien because he doesn't like peanut butter as much as me.  He makes faces whenever I say I'm making more peanut butter desserts.  I think it's that alien side of him trying to get out.

The taste was exactly what I was looking for, but I needed to adjust flour to make them puffier, change baking temps, and play with cooking time.

I am seriously addicted to the jar of candy googly eyes in my pantry right now. They are the cutest thing to add to things like these Peanut Butter Easter Chicks or these Oreo Bunny Pops!

I know!  It's the oddest thing to be in love with, but those eyes just crack me up!!!  I can't stop thinking of cute ways to use them for each holiday because they are just too fun.

That $5 jar of candy eyes was one of the best purchases I have ever made.  True story.

Oreo Coconut Cream Truffles

These little Oreo Coconut Cream Truffles start with a mini Oreo cookie that has been filled with a homemade coconut cream filling.  A quick dip in chocolate seals all the goodness inside an easy to eat truffle.  They are the perfect little Easter treat.

Fluffernutter Apple Nachos
