Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies

Ok, so here is one of my favorite brownie recipes right now. Anytime I have to bring a dessert, I reach for this fabulous recipe. Tonight we were going to a pumpkin carving party and I had to bring dessert…since pumpkin pie was already being made I choose to make these yummy treats. The only thing I did different was tint the filling orange. You could change the color for whatever activity you were bringing it to.

Brownie Base
1 box brownie mix
water, oil, and eggs called for on the box

Filling
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. milk

Topping
1 c. chocolate chips
1/4 c. butter

Preheat oven to 350*. Grease 9 x 13 pan. Mix brownie mix as on box. Bake for 24 min. Cool for at least 1 hour. Beat all filling ingredients until smooth. Spread on brownies. Microwave chips and butter for 1 min. Stir until smooth and spread on top of filling. Let set for 30 min. Store in the fridge. (if you have any left)
