So the first time I had this particular
chicken salad was at a church baby shower.
I had asked our pastor’s wife
if she wouldn’t mind making some for it,
since I had heard rave reviews of hers.
it was very good!!!!
After the shower I took home a container
for my hubby to try out.
He went bananas over this particular salad…
now part of the flavor came from
the bread she provided with it.
It came from a local bakery
and it had a little bit of kick to it.
I just knew that I wanted to make this again.
So I called her up and asked
if she wouldn’t mind sharing the recipe.
I had my pen in hand and was ready for
the family secret 🙂
She laughed and said type in cooks.com
and look for the only recipe that says
Pecan-Grape Chicken Salad.
Alrighty then…off to the internet I went.
And sure enough it is the only one with a dash!
We made this for dinner the other night
and it was every bit as good as I remembered.
So, here is the recipe for you now.
I hope you enjoy it too!
Pecan-Grape Chicken Salad
(found on cooks.com)
Chop up each of the following ingredients
and place in a large mixing bowl.

(i usually cook a whole chicken and debone it for this)
1 1/2 cups pecans
2-3 stalks of celery
1 lb. red grapes
1 cup fresh dill
1 c. sour cream
1 c. mayo
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Refrigerate at least 2 hours to blend the flavors.
Serve on cute slices of bread or even croissants.
Enjoy a light refreshing dinner.
It also is good as a dip…
I was eating it the 2nd day with my fav crackers too.
