Loaded Blonde Brownies

Loaded Blonde Brownies from www.insidebrucrewlife.com - candy and ice cream toppings make this the best blonde brownie you will ever eat
I have finally come to the realization that I don’t mind running.
Last fall I really started running to get ready for a Tough Mudder.
The more running I did, the more I didn’t mind it.
This past weekend my husband went mountain biking with a friend.
Today he took me back there, and we ran the whole trail.
All 3 1/2 miles off road. Booyah!!!
There is something fun about running through the woods
early in the morning and listening to the wildlife scurry
as you pound past.
And it is more fun when you send your husband in front of you
to clear all the spider webs away first :-)

Did you see that loaded blonde brownie?
So full of delicious goodness like caramel and fudge!
And peanut butter cups!
And chocolate chips!
And peanuts!
I’m pretty sure that brownie is the reason I have decided to like running :-)
My sweet tooth has been getting the best of me lately…
so with vacation coming up in less than 3 months.
I needed a plan.
I have decided on lots of cardio, some weight lifting, and eating right.
The eating right is what I struggle with the most.
Doggone sweet tooth gets me every time.
But we are remodeling our kitchen this week,
so that should keep me from baking for at least a week, right?
And if I don’t bake it, I can’t eat it.
Sounds like a plan.
So bye bye brownies, I will see you in while.
(I can’t stay away forever you know)
But lucky you :-)
I have extra stuff that I have baked and not shared here…
so be prepared to keep drooling!
I have to know…
does anyone else struggle with a sweet tooth too???
And if so, what program/workout have you found that works?
I am open for more options to try.

Loaded Blonde Brownies

These blonde brownies are loaded with toppings and candy. They are amazing with a scoop of ice cream.

2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup peanut butter cups, chopped
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping
vanilla ice cream and more toppings, if desired

  1. Cream the butter and sugar until creamy and light. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Slowly add the dry ingredients while mixing on low. Stir in the chocolate chips, peanuts, and peanut butter cups by hand.
  2. Spread the batter in a greased 9X13 pan. Drizzle with the caramel and hot fudge topping. Gently swirl into the batter with a knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Set on a wire rack until cooled completely. (Do not cut until cooled all the way) Cut into 24 squares. Serve with ice cream and toppings if desired.

Chopped peanut butter eggs!?! Great idea :) I guess great minds think alike, I posted blondies today too! And yes, I have a sweet tooth too and don’t have a great plan for burning off all of those delicious calories. Can’t wait to hear what works best for others!

    Blondie is my middle name.
*blondie is actually not my middle name but because my diet consists of Diet Coke and blondies, I’m pretty confident it easily COULD be my middle name… or my blood type.

Love these! And congrats on your running!! I wish I could run that long but a mile is my top score… and don’t even ask me to time that 😛

Exercise program? What is that?!? =) I wish I could get with some sort of program, but embarassing myself doing Wii Zumba is about as “athletic” as I get.

Big hearts on this! Yum girl. You might get the shakes from not being in the kitchen baking all week, but go ahead and run out for a treat instead, it will help!

Never before have I felt so inspired to both take a run through the woods and indulge in a decadent dessert all at once! You’re such a bad, no, good, no…perfect influence!
