You all know how much I love baking, right? Well, I love coming up with fun twists to original desserts.  But not everyone shares my passion around here.  Oh, they like to eat these treats, but boy, do I get some looks.

A few years ago, everyone couldn't believe that I messed with the traditional pumpkin roll. I got the look from my in-laws, my husband, and my son. But it didn't stop them from enjoying a slice and then admitting it was good!

Of course, you should have seen how they all shook their heads because my dessert mash-up did not include cream cheese frosting.

Haha!  That's not going to stop me from doing more different desserts.  I'm on a roll here!  LOL!  Pun intended.

I realized this week that I haven't used my donut pan in a while, so I dug it out of the box in the garage. No wonder I do not use it very often. When it is out of sight, it is out of mind.

That's how the veggies in our refrigerator must feel, too. Yeah, I should probably be eating more of those healthy veggies instead of making homemade donuts, but what fun would that be?

So last month I was going through some photo folders when I came across the pictures of these cheesecake cupcakes.  Yup, it turns out that I have been holding this recipe hostage from you since last year.

Honestly, I did not do it on purpose because I would never purposely keep you from cheesecake.

The sad thing is that when I saw the pictures, I remembered making them...twice. They were so good that I made them for a dinner we were going to, and I made them again for pictures.

One of our favorite soups is one that we enjoyed at Chili's restaurant years and years ago.

It was such a simple soup that I came home and made a homemade version using ingredients from our fridge and pantry because we had to have it again. It is now one of the most requested soups in our house.

Our youngest asks me to make this chicken and rice soup and this Pizza Minestrone Soup all the time.  That is huge because he is kind of picky with the things he will eat.

Tacos are such an easy meal to make.  Plus, everyone loves tacos, so you can't go wrong with a taco dinner.  Especially when it falls on taco Tuesday, am I right?

Now, don't get me wrong.  We enjoy taco Thursdays, taco Sundays, and taco Mondays too. Basically, any kind of taco is a win no matter what day of the week it is.

I have found my favorite way to eat "an apple a day". Adding apples to cupcakes is my new favorite way to enjoy the red fall fruit.

Yes, I realize that adding an apple to a cupcake and then topping it with the best caramel frosting you will ever find kind of cancels out the fruit factor.  But you guys!!!
