It's hard to believe that another month has already come and gone this year. I know I say that all the time, but it feels like we stay busy and time just keeps flying by.

We love going over to the bridge at the marina to walk or run from time to time. It's such a gorgeous place to get your steps in.

A friend and I headed over there one afternoon to walk and chat. We both kept saying how crazy it is that we get to call this place "home". Most people vacation here for a week each year, and we our privileged to actually live here year round.

Easy Homemade Salsa

Taco Tuesday just isn't complete without a bowl of freshly made salsa. My husband has been making this homemade salsa since we got married. It is our go to recipe any time we are having tacos.

Although, my hubby doesn't measure when he makes food. So, I had to stand right there with him this time, so I could get the exact measurements for his easy salsa recipe. He said I was cramping his mojo, but a recipe that says pinch of this and a pinch of that isn't helpful. Right?

It's so easy to make!!! Open a few cans of tomatoes and blend to your favorite consistency, then stir in some finely diced veggies. We love to season ours with a little bit of lime juice and salt and pepper.

With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, spicy salsa is the perfect addition to this Easy Chicken Enchiladas recipe or this Nacho Chicken Casserole.

Today was that day for me. And the day isn't even over, so I'm kind of scared to see what happens next. It all started the minute the alarm started going off. Yup, that's it. Hahahaha! Just kidding. There's more.

Staying up late and getting up early isn't a good thing. Especially when you are trying to be dedicated to getting a workout in before doing any work, I didn't really feel like working out, but I did it anyway because I know I'll feel better later.

Butterscotch Banana Muffins

Muffins are one of my favorite things to bake for breakfast. They are so easy to make the night before, and they are the perfect thing to grab on your way out the door in the morning.

We always have bananas, either on the counter or in the freezer, so I love trying out new banana muffin recipes. Although, if I'm being honest, I make these Double Chocolate Banana Muffins more than any other.

A day that starts with a dose of chocolate is a good day in my books. Just don't ask my shorts because they might disagree with me there.

Marshmallow M&M's Fudge

A few weeks ago I had the awesome privilege to make a ton of desserts for a ladies event at our church. And I do mean a ton because there were over 100 ladies signed up for the meetings.

Why You Will Love This Recipe

Carrot cake is one of my favorite cakes of all time. It makes me feel like I am eating a healthy dessert because: A. there are carrots in it and B. there is pineapple in it.

The last time I checked, carrots and pineapple were still healthy fruits and veggies. So, that makes these carrot cake donuts perfectly acceptable for breakfast, right? Kind of like these orange donuts are full of oranges!
