This easy Hot Chocolate Cheesecake Dip is the perfect no bake treat to share at all those holiday parties that you will be attending this month. It is full of hot chocolate flavor, is easy to make, and is perfect to dip just about anything in.

With the cold weather here to stay for a while, we have been drinking lots of this Nutella hot chocolate trying to stay warm. Ok, maybe not to stay warm, but when it’s chilly outside a hot steamy cup just feels right.
Lately I have been mixing up a few cups of hot chocolate for the kids and a cup of Salted Caramel Mocha Latte for me as we sit and enjoy our Christmas tree in front of us. I just love this time of year.
There is something about sitting on the couch with all the lights off and the glowing Christmas tree. It definitely makes me feel warm and cozy and so thankful for everything we have.
Thankfully I have had a very fortunate life and never had to worry about lacking anything in life. But there are so many people throughout the country that are worrying about where their next meal or glass of milk is going to come from. I was very surprised to learn that milk is the most requested, but least available product at most food banks across our country.
This holiday I am partnering with the American Dairy Association Mideast with a holiday recipe exchange and a way to help donate milk.
If you are able to donate, you can visit the Great American Milk Drive for more details. For every gallon donated, Feeding America will match it gallon for gallon through December 31st. How awesome is that?
Last year I had the opportunity to visit a few dairy farms in Ohio. This city girl was able to milk a cow for the first time, feed an adorable baby calf, and see the milk and cheese process first hand. It is amazing to see how the food we eat gets to our tables.
My biggest impression from that trip was how much these farmers love their animals. They want the best for the cows, so they can provide us with healthy, nutritious milk.
I love to “sneak” extra dairy into the snacks that I feed my children. They thought this chocolate dip was just cheesecake and chocolate. Little did they know that I added Greek yogurt and a hot chocolate mix made with real milk to amp up their dairy consumption.
This easy hot chocolate cheesecake dip comes together in minutes.
Make sure to get your cream cheese out ahead of time, so it has time to soften. Then throw it all into a bowl, and let the mixer do the work. Less than 10 minutes stands between you and this creamy chocolate goodness. My daughter had a few friends spend the night, and they used mini cookies, graham crackers, chocolate covered pretzels, and animal crackers to scoop up the dip.
I went with the spoon option. What? You know that’s how you want to eat it too!

- 1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup marshmallow cream
- 1 cup powdered Swiss Miss Dark Sensation hot chocolate mix
- 3/4 cup Cool Whip, divided
- mini marshmallows, for garnish
- crushed candy cane, for garnish
- animal crackers, chocolate graham crackers, mini cookies, pretzels
- Beat the cream cheese until creamy. Add the yogurt, marshmallow cream, and hot chocolate mix and beat again until light and fluffy.
- Fold in 1/2 cup Cool Whip gently until completely mixed in.
- Top with remaining Cool Whip, mini marshmallows, and crushed candy canes.
- Serve with cookies and pretzels. Keep refrigerated in a covered container. Makes about 2 cups.
