    Disney Cake Pops

One of our favorite things to do at Walt Disney World is to try all the different Disney snacks. From Pineapple Dole Whip, to POG Juice, to Corn Dogs...we have tried them all. A few weeks ago my husband and I took a day trip to Magic Kingdom.

While we were there we stopped at the Grand Floridian where we tried the large Mickey cake pop from Gasparilla Island Grill. Oh, my! It was so cute and tasted so good!

Not everyone has the luxury or desire to visit Disney World or Disney Land all the time or even once, so I wanted to show you how easy it is to recreate some of the fun Disney treats at home.

These Mickey Mouse Cake Pops are a fun copycat version of the ones sold in Disney bakeries and restaurants and at Disney Springs.

The chocolate fudge cake pop is covered in dark chocolate and sprinkles and has chocolate ears.  Mickey shaped food is a fun way to add a little bit of Disney magic to your day.

A stack of s'mores bars on a white plate.

A white plate with a stack of s'mores blondies on it.

    S'mores Bars

We live in Florida, and when it is 90 degrees outside in the evening, you really do not want to sit around a campfire making s'mores.  But during the summer, I crave chocolate and marshmallow treats, so I am always looking for ways to enjoy indoor s'mores.

Blonde brownies are one of my favorite desserts, so I decided to turn them into a pan of s'mores bars.  I changed up these blonde brownies by adding lots of chocolate chips and marshmallow cream.

Holy cow!  That was a terribly, no good, awesome, incredible idea!  Awesome because they tasted amazing!  No good because I couldn't stop snacking on them. These swirled s'mores blonde brownies had to leave our house right away because I couldn't be trusted around them.

All your favorite summertime flavors inside a cookie bar that can be enjoyed all year long! S'mores treats are always a good idea!

    Oatmeal Cream Pie Recipe

One of my favorite lunch box snacks when I was growing up was Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies. Sure, I loved Zebra Cakes, Fudge Rounds, and Swiss Rolls, but I always reached for those soft and chewy oatmeal creme pie cookies first.

Even to this day, there is something so nostalgic about opening that crinkly cellophane wrapper and smelling the sweet oatmeal goodness of Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies.

When I came across a recipe in an old church cookbook for homemade oatmeal cream pies, I knew I had to try them right away. Our kids devoured the cream-filled cookies and declared them better than the store-bought treats. I call that a baking success!

Why Make Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies

    • This treat brings back happy childhood memories. If you enjoyed these treats growing up, making them at home can bring back those joyful moments.
    • The homemade copycat treats taste better than the original, and by making them yourself, you avoid adding extra preservatives and additives.
    • Your kitchen will be filled with an amazing aroma as the cookies bake; the combination of oatmeal and cinnamon creates a comforting scent.
